For weeks now, Dr Morgan Reznick (Fiona Gubelmann) has been struggling with her health. Recently she was diagnosed with RA (Rheumatoid Arthritis) which can inhibit normal motor functions and overall physical abilities to perform daily tasks.

Initially, she tried to keep it under wraps and fought it all by herself, resorting to self-medication. But when it started to get out of control, she sought help from Dr. Aaron Glassman, who not only serves as the head of the hospital but also a valuable counsel for all other doctors.

He tries to help Morgan with basic treatment. Despite his encouragement to seek more help, Morgan refuses and continues to go about her day hiding her illness from her colleagues.

When we discovered earlier that she is diagnosed with RA, we had a feeling that this could take a toll on her if the symptoms worsen. And it came true, much to our disappointment.

However, things don’t go according to her expectations. After all, when RA gets more intense and crosses the first stage, symptoms start to show. As we see this week, Morgan’s new medication reacts miserably.

She cannot eat solid food and is constantly nauseous, making her vomit every now and then. Even when she is paged to join her colleagues in the operation room, she is not able to receive the call because her medications make her throw up again.

A similar instance occurs when she was trying to hand out a drip to Dr Carly Lever where she could barely finish a conversation.

To most people, especially to her colleagues, it could look like Morgan might be pregnant or down with a common symptom. But in reality, she is reaching a severe stage of RA.

If she doesn't seek immediate medical intervention and treat it like patients are supposed to do, then it could not only be detrimental to her career but also prevent her from living her life normally.

She is young, ambitious and has a long way to go and a disease like RA is not something she should have to give in to. 'The Good Doctor' Season 3 airs every Monday at 10 pm/9c, only on ABC.
