'The Flash' Season 8 Episode 4: Thawne reveals how he became The Flash, fights Barry

Thawne finally reveals why he changed the timeline and becomes The Flash as Barry and he come face to face

‘The Flash’ took an unexpected turn during Episode 3 of Season 8 and it seems that the show is going to exceed all the expectations that fans had. So, things are getting intense and Barry Allen is finding it hard to prove his innocence in front of his loved ones.

During episode 3, we saw Barry (Grant Gustin) traveling to the future. As soon as he reaches the future, he enters a venue where a ceremony is taking place. Shockingly, he sees Thawne (Tom Cavanagh) calling Iris the “love of his life” while all of Barry’s friends are happy about it. Everyone is shocked to see Barry there and it seemed Barry would have to fight his own friends.

The latest episode starts from the exact moment that the previous one left off and everyone is shocked to see Barry there. Barry is shocked to see that everyone he loved is against him, especially Iris. He gets to know that it was Thawne who did everything and asks what did you do? Thawne doesn’t answer him and assures others that he is The Flash. However, when he changed his costume, he came out wearing the Revers-Flash costume. Even Barry is shocked to see that. Thawne lets him know that he’s not the Flash anymore and comes out wearing the iconic Red Suit himself.

An epic fight sequence takes place where Batwoman and others go against Barry. Finally, Barry and Thawne come face to face and Thawne tells him how he did everything. Thawne says that he went back to 2013 and changed everything, making a “Reverse-Flashpoint”. He made sure that it was him (Thawne) who got hit by lightning and he was the one who became The Flash. Thawne also said that he became better than Barry ever was and turned himself into The Flash.

So, that’s how he changed the timeline and cheated everyone. He wanted to become The Flash and have everything that Barry had. Now, Barry is planning of doing something that he has never done before and is forced to take the assistance of someone who has been one of the most notorious villains in the show’s history, Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough). Will Barry be able to change the timeline and set everything straight? Where is Despero? Will he play any role in this? There are so many questions to be answered. We hope we get an answer to every single bit of it.
