Netflix has announced the return of the hit reality competition series ‘The Circle’. The new season is described as “the spiciest season” ever. The competition follows a group of people who interact through the “Circle”, a social network in which you can present yourself as anyone you like. The most popular person in the Circle chat gets a cash prize after being voted by members of the competition.

For the new season, Netflix has kept the rollout strategy it has been using for its most popular reality series: dropping a certain number of episodes every week, as opposed to releasing the full season on the same day. This helps keep the buzz of a reality competition going, as well as preventing people from giving major spoilers – fans have time to catch up before the final episode is released. Here’s what we know about the upcoming season so far.

When does 'The Circle’ season 4 release and where can you watch it?

'The Circle' U.S. season 4 premieres with its first batch of episodes on Wednesday, May 4, 2022, on Netflix.

What is ‘The Circle’ all about?

The show explores the concept of fame. Its core premise is to follow a rotating cast of contestants as they sequester themselves in various flats within the same building to play a game via the custom-designed eponymous app. They can’t communicate with each other unless they utilize this, which protects their identities. They are occasionally asked to rate one another, and the two highest-ranking persons are frequently designated as “influencers.” These contestants are given the option to “block” or “remove” another player, which they might use to improve their own strategic play. Finally, the winner of the $100,000 grand prize is determined by the same inter-ranking mechanism.

Who is in the cast of ‘The Circle’ season 4?

Netflix is yet to announce the cast but we know for now that Comedian Michelle Buteau will be back to entertain the viewers for her fourth season as host of 'The Circle'.

Who are the showrunners?

Executive producer Tim Harcourt, in a chat with Variety, revealed what he enjoys most about the format of the show is how it can suddenly turn comedic. “What I really love about the format is the comedy it can give you — and the comedy comes from people saying one thing publicly and another privately. I’m a really big fan of stuff that is comedic first and dramatic second,” he added.
