Do you believe you could ever use social media to impersonate one of your parents? Parker Abbott, a Season 4 contestant on 'The Circle,' did, but viewers aren't persuaded it was a good idea.

Parker came into Season 4 of 'The Circle' with a strategy. She posed as her straight-laced 56-year-old father Paul because she was convinced the other contestants would write her off or look down on her if she showed her genuine party-girl persona. It was an audacious tactic, but one that Parker didn't always succeed in executing without eliciting suspicion from the other players. Parker altered a few things about her dad while locking in his profile, as you may remember, but did her tweaks work in her favor.

Parker wasn't the first Season 4 participant to come up with the "play like a parent" strategy. Because he, too, believed his youthful exuberance wouldn't serve him well in the game, John entered the competition catfishing as his mom Carol. Parker, like John, struggled to constantly be convincing as her father, even admitting she didn't know what his true work was, so she switched it to a marriage therapist. Not to mention the time she had to explain what a memoir was to the other participants.

Parker 21-year-old student from Miami, Florida. Her "only two personality traits really are being in a sorority and going out and partying," she revealed in the first episode. Furthermore, when it comes to photographs, she's obsessed with looking like a "hot ass b—-h." She was aware, though, that her actual "bottle-popping girl" personality might not be well received by the other contenders.

"And that's why I'm going into The Circle as a 56-year-old dude named Paul," she explained. "Oh, wait, there's one more thing. He's my dad." Parker went on to say: "I feel like going in as a married man with two children definitely comes off as a very trusting vibe. [He's] like someone you will put your trust and loyalty [into]."

Aside from his occupation, Parker didn't make any additional changes to Paul's character. However, after entering 'The Circle' chat, Parker — or rather, Paul — began to raise doubts. Alyssa was already skeptical of Paul after reading his profile. She observed, "Paul seems like a real estate broker." John — or rather, Carol — had a few words for Paul as well. "The About Me is so bland. Like there's nothing. Like there's nothing," he remarked. As the contestants began to debate memoirs, Paul began to lose steam.

"What are memoirs?". In her sound-proof room, Parker pondered. "Is that like an album title or something?" Paul requested the chat to define memoir because he couldn't figure it out.

"Paul. Paul. Paul, c'mon, you're not fifty-what? Nine? 53 and a marriage counselor, and you've never heard of a memoir?" Josh "Bru" Brubaker, a participant, mused. Paul's blunder had a significant impact on the final standings. Parker/Paul was voted last by the group and got eventually blocked.

Fans, amusingly, were not surprised by the choice and believed they had anticipated it. Viewers believe Parker did a poor job impersonating her father, Paul, and that she should have gone as herself instead. One of them wrote on Twitter: "I wish Parker had gone in as herself. She created too many loopholes in Paul's personality. #TheCircle #TheCircleNetflix"

Parker's father, Paul, on the other hand, was a big hit with the audience, with fans praising him for his late-fifties good looks. According to his LinkedIn profile, Paul is the founder of the company FBS400, Inc. in real life. He founded the organization in 2011 and continues to lead it now. Overall, Paul appears to be a stylish father who does not appear to be 56 years old. He frequently posts images of Parker on Instagram, as well as a few celebrity clients he's worked with, like Caitlyn Jenner.

It was strange to see only one elimination in the initial batch of episodes, but that merely appears to indicate that the eliminations will start coming fast and furious as the season develops - making for an exciting stretch! 'The Circle' is now available to watch on Netflix! Season 4 will premiere new episodes on May 11.
