LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: 'The Boys' Season 4 just aired its first 3 episodes on Prime Video, introducing a new and potentially dangerous member into Homelander's circle: Sister Sage (Susan Heyward).

She poses a unique threat due to her formidable intellect, contrasting with the physical powers typical of other Supes in the series.

Until now, characters like Tek Knight and Sage have often operated from the shadows rather than in frontline combat roles.

Sister Sage's introduction into the Seven marks a significant shift. Unlike her peers, who rely on physical abilities, Sage's strength lies in her intelligence.

This distinction not only sets her apart but also positions her as a pivotal player in the ongoing conflict.

As 'The Boys' progresses into Season 4, Sage emerges as a potential wildcard, adding depth and intrigue to the series' narrative.

Why did Sister Sage join The Seven in 'The Boys' Season 4?

In the Season 4 premiere of 'The Boys,' titled 'The Ministry of Dirty Tricks', Sister Sage becomes Homelander's new ally out of curiosity. Known as the smartest person on Earth, she lives modestly and is non-materialistic.

Sister Sage appears more interested in proving herself. She tells Homelander that she doesn't care about material possessions, explaining her modest living situation.

Her nonchalant attitude towards others' opinions is evident as she confidently snarks back at Homelander, indicating she doesn't fear him or the consequences of her actions.

Her willingness to align with Homelander's plan seems driven by a desire to challenge herself and test her abilities. It hints at her deep-seated boredom and frustration with the world around her.

Does Sister Sage have an ulterior motive in 'The Boys' Season 4?

In 'The Boys' Season 4, Sister Sage emerges as a strategic ally to Homelander, bringing a calculated and lethal approach that contrasts with his impulsive nature. She shares his goal of empowering Supes but maintains her mysterious agenda.

Sister Sage's introduction adds a cerebral complexity to the series, posing a significant challenge to both the Boys and potentially altering the dynamics within Homelander's plans.

Her role promises to intensify the strategic stakes and elevate the intrigue of the ongoing narrative.

Despite her undeniable brilliance, Sage is largely disregarded by Vought. She was briefly associated with 'Teenage Kix' (a fictional animated show) during the same period as A-Train but was quickly ousted from the team.

This backstory plays into Homelander successfully recruiting Sage in Episode 1 as she agrees to his proposal only after securing his promise to listen to her.

Homelander's offer to implement her ideas on a global scale is one of the rare moments Sage shows genuine excitement in the season so far.

Her frustration has grown into a willingness to collaborate with someone as terrifying as Homelander, aiming for a goal that would transform America into a modern-day Roman Empire under Caesar's rule.

Present-day America, flawed and biased, has overlooked her while allowing openly bigoted individuals like Firecracker to thrive. It's understandable why Sage would contemplate dismantling this system, especially if it validates her intellectual abilities.

However, by her nature, Sister Sage might be playing a much longer and intricate game.
