'The Bachelorette' 2022: Fans want Ethan to be the next Bachelor as he gets eliminated ahead of hometown date
HOLLAND, NETHERLANDS: Even though the current season of 'The Bachelorette' is six weeks old, there are still some unanswered questions and one of them is Who will Rachel and Gabby eventually settle down with? We know who they won't wind up with after this week's episode: Ethan and Spencer.
Ethan, the 27-year-old New York advertising professional, wasn't shown much on the show. It's not entirely his fault; editing is a delicate process, and his screen time might have been reduced for a variety of reasons. However, having made it this far into the season with no influence on the viewers, it was evident that he would be leaving the show soon.

Ethan opened Episode 6, which aired on August 15, by declaring he was "deep in the game," but things didn't go so well for the suitor, particularly when he mentioned that he hadn't yet earned a single date with Rachel. When the one-on-one date card arrived, Ethan's name wasn't on it, things became much worse. He did, however, have plenty of opportunities during Rachel's group date at a cheese festival. Ethan claimed to be lactose intolerant, but as he put it, "Rachel loves cheese, therefore I love cheese." Love is all about making sacrifices.
Ethan went on the date with Aven, Tyler, and Tino, and each guy took turns stealing Rachel away for some alone time. The highlight of the afternoon date was a shirtless cheese-holding competition, in which the guys had to carry enormous wheels of cheese held on yokes. Ethan and Tino outlasted everyone else until agreeing to drop their cheeses simultaneously. Rachel, on the other hand, raced up to Tino in joy, whilst Ethan fainted on the ground, which made the Bachelorette laugh. Tino was crowned "Cheese King," while Ethan was sent back to the drafting board.
Rachel's guys commented on how crucial the group date rose was at the cocktail party. Ethan stated that Rachel is the person he envisions spending the rest of his life with, and that he wishes to bring her home to meet his father and sister. To be sure, he acknowledges the "strong competition" that stands in his way. Despite the men's best efforts, Tyler was able to get the group date rose and a ticket to Hometowns, which meant that the rose ceremony was Ethan's final shot.
At the rose ceremony, Rachel's initial pick was Aven, leaving a final two of Tino and Ethan, eerily identical to the cheese challenge. Rachel chose Tino when the climactic swelling music did its job, finally eliminating Ethan. Rachel's final four consists of Zach, Tyler, Tino, and Aven. "Rach, thank you for everything," Ethan said to her on stage. "I wish you nothing but the best." "You've made this experience so positive for me," she said. And with that, the final chapter of their love story came to an end.
Fans rushed to Twitter shortly after Ethan's elimination to express their views about him and how they'd like to see him as the next bachelor. Some even suggested a double bachelor idea, along side Nate: "Damn!!! Ethan for bachelor! Double bachelor with him and Nate! #TheBachelorette." Calling out the fact that Ethan never landed the one-on-one date with Rachel, a fan wrote: "Zach getting a second one on one? Poor Ethan. #thebachelorette." As this is the only episode, viewers got to see WHOLE of Ethan, a fan tweeted: "Why did the producers hide Ethan’s abs from us for so long! #TheBachelorette." His comment of 'baby back b***h' for Tino also made him the popular choice for next season's 'The Bachelor': "@BacheloretteABC
i know y’all aren’t gonna listen and ur gonna cast some baby back bitch as the lead but ETHAN FOR BACHELOR ETHAN FOR BACHELOR ETHAN FOR BACHELOR #TheBachelorette."
