'The Bachelor' Season 26: Shanae is finally eliminated and Mara brings in fresh drama

Season 26 of 'The Bachelor' might be Clayton Echard's season, but it looks like Shanae is undoubtedly determined to steal the show. Shanae has managed to get her way so far between the lies and the fake tears, as Clayton continues to turn a blind eye toward her antics.

Shockingly, she even managed to get him to pick her over Elizabeth and Sierra, both of whom warned Clayton about her behavior and have been honest about their intentions. However, with Genevieve now proving to be the next threat as they go on a two on one date, it looks like Shanae is determined to play the game yet again.

Shanae told Clayton that Genevieve was lying to him, causing him to confront her and even ask if she was an actress. Genevieve was obviously hurt by the accusation and came clean about her intentions, stating that even though she may seem standoffish, she is genuinely trying to be more open and vulnerable. By then, Clayton too began to pick up the pattern of lies and deceit when it came to Shanae, prompting him to give Genevieve the rose. This meant Shanae was then eliminated, much to everyone's joy.



 

With this, Genevieve and Gabby both had roses, rendering them safe. Clayton had to make a tough call when it boiled down to the elimination. He gave out roses to Sarah, Serene, Susie, Teddi, Eliza, Rachel and Mara. This meant that Hunter and Marlena were eliminated, along with Shanae.

As nine women remained, this episode also saw both Susie and Rachel tell Clayton that they were starting to fall in love with him, which was a reason to celebrate, according to him. And while he worked on building his connections with Teddi and Sarah, Mara seemed to go off the rails, as she claimed that Sarah was not ready for commitment, leading to a fresh wave of drama. Shanae might be gone, but it looks like the chaos still lives on.
