Season 33 of ‘The Amazing Race’ has finally begun and it’s time for fans to get ready for another enthralling world tour. The season has returned after the filming of the latest season had to be shut down due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The first leg of the show was shot before lockdowns were put into place and we saw teams traveling to London to begin their journey.

In the two-hour premiere of the show, we saw 11 teams finding different clues to reach the “pit stop” and qualify for the next round. However, there was one team that was unfortunate and got eliminated from the show. The first team to get eliminated from the reality series was Michael and Moe, also known as the “Singing Cops” from Buffalo. They were the last to arrive during the first part of the London leg.

But there was a surprise in part two. In the final task of the London leg, the teams had to go inside a bakery and make some cakes. Sounds easy, right? However, the teams needed to have some knowledge of the current scenario in the UK if they had to win the task. They needed to have the flags of two nations belonging in the European Union on their cakes and if the baker was happy with their cakes, then only the team will get their next clue.

Many teams decided to go with the cake task and began making cakes with the flags of countries that they thought were a part of the EU. All teams decided to go with France and Germany as it was easy to make those flags on the cakes.

The last two remaining teams in the bakery were the YouTube sensations Isaiah Green and Taylor Green, and radio personalities Lulu and Lala.

Isaiah and Taylor were the first ones to get the flags right and they got their clue. Meanwhile, Lulu and Lala were not far behind in getting the flags right. Now, they had to take a Taxi and travel to host Phil Keoghan, who is sitting inside the iconic double-decker bus. In the final few moments of the premiere, we saw Isaiah and Taylor entering the bus first, becoming the ninth team to reach the pit stop. They qualified for the next round and will now travel to Scotland.

We all thought that it was the end of the road for Lulu and Lala, but Phil gave them a surprise by telling them their journey will continue. The identical twins were not eliminated from the show and they will be the 10th team to continue to race for the $1 million prize money. What a way to start the newest season of ‘The Amazing Race’ and it’s going to get thrilling as the show moves forward.

‘The Amazing Race’ Season 33 returns to CBS with a new episode every Wednesday at 9 pm EST.
