Season 33 of ‘The Amazing Race’ actually started filming in 2020. However, as soon as the world felt the wrath of the Covid-19 pandemic, the filming of the CBS reality show had to be stopped. At the end of Episode 3, we saw Phil Keoghan telling the teams in Scotland that the race is being suspended and they will resume the race once again when the world is ready to see them again.

After the long wait of 19 months, the ‘Amazing Race’ started again and the teams were in Switzerland to start their journey once again. However, not everybody was able to join the reality show after the gap and it seems the makers knew that it won’t be feasible for those players to come back and they already had made arrangements of re-enforcements.

So, let’s get a little deeper and get to know the players who were able to return to the show and those who weren’t that lucky. Also, we will see two new teams entering the show and making things a bit difficult for the others.

Are Caro and Ray resuming the race?

Everyone has been asking if Caro and Ray will be returning to the show and the answer to that show is NO!!! The couple, who met each other during the first season of ‘Love Island’, wasn’t able to save their relationship and broke up when the shooting of ‘The Amazing Race’ was on a break. The rules of the show categorically state that the teams need to have a “relatable relationship” in order to take part in the show. So, their breakup was one of the biggest reasons for not having them back.

The second team that’s not returning on the show is Anthony Sadler and Spencer Stone. The duo entered the show with a reputation and are considered to be American heroes as they stopped a shooter on a Paris-bound train from Amsterdam in August 2015. Now, the reason for not being a part of the race is not clear, but they won’t be returning.

Connie and Sam, the married couple from Charlotte, North Carolina, will also be not coming back for the race. The final team that won’t be making a return is of YouTube sensations Taylor Green-Jones and Isaiah Green-Jones.

Teams that are returning for ‘The Amazing Race’

A total of five teams will be coming back to join the race and that includes the married educators Akbar and Sheridan. Another team that will be resuming the race is Kim and Penn, the famous internet personalities who finished the Scotland leg of the race in the first place.

Radio hosts and twins Lulu and Lala will also be joining the show for another run. They are probably one of the luckiest teams on the show as they finished last in London's leg and yet, they were saved and continued to be a part of the race.

Meanwhile, the gorgeous duo of Raquel and Cayla will be seen on the show as well. The flight attendants have been promising as of now and will be looking to push themselves a little harder to be at the top.

Lastly, it’s Ryan and Dusty who will be making a return to ‘The Amazing Race’ Season 33.

Who are the new teams entering the show?

So, two new teams will be entering the show and making things even more interesting. However, these teams will feature some familiar faces. The first team that will be re-entering the show is Michael and Moe. Yes, the singing police officers are back on the show after being the first team to get eliminated from the show. On the other hand, Natalie and Arun would be the second team to join the race again.
