Episode three of the series dives into the recollection of events by Yasper who attended the reunion as well. He tells detective Danne that in high school he used to be close with popstar Xavier and was even in a band with him, but Xavier's career rocketed, while he ended up working to install AV systems in people's houses. But he never gave up his musical aspirations and has worked on new stuff, that he hoped Xavier would bless aka guest star on. Xavier agrees enthusiastically with 'yeah, sure whatever' giving him hope for relaunching his career. Meanwhile, Aniq realized the handwriting on his face matches the one on the note and sets about trying to find a match.

Yasper performs a musical, dance-filled account of his plans and reveals that Xavier texted him at the party about a track that will work and to meet him within 10 minutes in the home studio, but delays and ignores him going upstairs with Chelsea (Ilana Glazer) instead. As Yasper is finishing up with his tale of dashed hopes and dreams, we see Aniq realize something and rush out to inform Danner. Exclaiming out loud that Jennifer 2 is missing, he brings up the possibility of there being a second victim.

As Jennifer 1 (Tiya Sircar) freaks out about her missing bestie, Detective Culp (John Early) finds one of Chelsea's belonging near Xavier's body, and suspicions pile on. Chelsea, who was already a tad shady, is the next to be questioned as the question of the absent Jennifer 2 (Ayden Mayeri) looms.

'The Afterparty' premiered with three episodes, while new episodes will follow every Friday on Apple TV+.
