LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The entire fandom of DC got really happy when it was announced that James Gunn will be taking a key position in the DC Universe and will help take the universe in a new and better direction. The vision was clear and it was all about giving DC a new beginning and WB thought that there was no one better than Gunn to do that. However, it seems fans are now really annoyed that no major announcements have been made by the new head after being appointed as the new lead and are demanding an answer. The issue escalated to a whole new level when a report suggested that ‘Wonder Woman 3’ is not movie forward at Warner Bros. while the future of ‘Man of Steel 2’ looks uncertain as well.

Angry fans didn’t shy away from letting DC top management know that such decisions will only trigger them to say things against them and began trending the hashtag “#FireJamesGunn” on Twitter.

One of the fans wrote, “Steppenwolf was right DCEU will fall.” Another fan tweeted, “James Gunn has no idea what do with DC. His plan is to get D-list characters movies to do whatever he wants without anyone judging him because no one knows them. Stop this madness.”

Another social media user wrote, “This whole situation with Gunn's and Safran's foolish decision did one thing it revealed who's actually a true fan of these characters and who isn't an actual fan just here to get clout and the tweets from these people are showing it loud and clear.” Meanwhile, one of the users noted, “What's wrong with these people? #FireJamesGunn already we've been waiting for years to see Cavill back as Superman and think ok maybe dc in the right direction now but now this.”

“Can we just admit James Gunn was a terrible choice?” tweeted another user.

Such agonizing reactions from fans come after The Hollywood Reporter published a report which revealed that the third movie in the ‘Wonder Woman’ franchise won’t be moving ahead because the movie’s treatment didn’t fit in with the studios’ plans for the future of DC Universe. On the other hand, plans for having a sequel to ‘Man of Steel’ look uncertain as well.

Recently, it was announced that WB and DC are working on the sequel to the 2013 film ‘Man of Steel', with Henry Cavill set to don the iconic costume again. After the release of ‘Black Adam’, Cavill announced that he will be returning to play Superman in the DC Universe, and what fans saw in ‘Black Adam’ was just the beginning. However, the reports have made people annoyed and worried.

Meanwhile, Gadot recently uploaded a photo of herself in the ‘Wonder Woman’ costume and marked the anniversary of her casting as the Amazonian Princess. In her post, she also wrote that she can’t wait to wear the costume again for the third movie. However, the report published by The Hollywood Reporter stated that ‘Wonder Woman 3’ has been “scrapped” by the production giants.

The only movie that seems to be safe from all the fiasco is Matt Reeves’ sequel to ‘The Batman’. The top management has no plans to interfere with the project and will go ahead with it.
