HUMBLE, TEXAS: A Texas teacher is under investigation after video surfaced showing the teacher physically assaulting a teenager and forcibly pinning the child against the classroom wall before taking him to the emergency room with injuries. The altercation broke out Wednesday, January 11, at Humble High School and shows the English teacher brutally shoving the 10th-grade student across the classroom. The boy's father, Elvert Bolden, called the incident "very upsetting" and said it started when the teacher felt his son was being too loud.

Horrifying footage shows the teacher knocking the student to the ground and overturning a table, then pushing him against a wall as other students try to pull the two apart. The teacher has been suspended, and the boy's father, Bolden, is calling for the teacher to be barred from teaching after the beating left his son limping, bruised and on crutches.

Bolden said the teacher "Stayed in his [son's] face, antagonizing him. My son told him 'You told me to be quiet. I'm not saying nothing else' and that's when I was told the teacher snatched the chair from up under my baby." "I want him arrested, charges filed," he added. "I want his teacher's license revoked. I don't want him to be able to go to any school in any state and be able to teach another child in the event he may do this again," reported Daily Mail. "If I would have put my hands on my baby I would have been in jail."

In the clip, the purple sweatshirt-wearing teacher could be seen slamming the student dressed in black across the classroom. At one point, the student could be seen lifting his arms in the air to show he wasn't resisting, but the teacher continued to hold him against the wall before getting on top of him. Humble Independent School District called the incident "unacceptable" in a statement. "This should not have happened. It is unacceptable," the district said. "The teacher has been put on leave. An investigation is underway, and it is unlikely he will be returning when the investigation concludes," reported the source.

The district said the teacher "used physical force to try and get a student to take a seat and listen." They called the teacher's behavior "unacceptable and contrary to standards and expectations for all employees." "The district has a process for addressing serious concerns which includes reporting to law enforcement and full cooperation with any law enforcement investigation."

however, internet users were divided and had a mixed reaction to the altercation. One user wrote, "I can’t understand why this teacher is on leave. Further investigation and suspension is imperative!" A second user asserted, "This is why schools need Camera's in every classroom Audio and Visual..that way you get the whole story. Not just cell phone video." "Yep. Always the teacher's fault. Video is always edited. Never shows students being disrespectful or refusing to follow directions. Society and parents just pass blame instead of accepting responsibility," read a tweet. "I’m am pretty sure there is a lot more to the story…," claimed a user.
