'Real Housewives of New Jersey' star Teresa Giudice married Luis Ruela on Saturday, August, 6, at the Park Chateau in East Brunswick, New Jersey. We kind of knew their wedding would make headlines but surprisingly it was the reality star’s bridal updo that caught everyone’s attention.

The star’s long-time hairstylist Lucia Casazza spoke with Andy Cohen on his 'Radio Andy' show to discuss all of the details behind one of the most talked-about celebrity bridal looks and the exceptional hairdo as Casazza, who has been working with Tre since Season 3 of the Bravo show, revealed all the details of the over-the-top look.

What is Teresa Giudice's net worth? The 'RHONJ' reality star does not shy away from her luxurious lifestyle

When Cohen asked if Guidice requested the biggest hair ever and the inspiration behind it, Casazza responded that the actual inspiration came from Instagram Reel videos the reality star would send her of European brides. “Teresa said my hair has to be over the top,” Casazza shared. “Me and Teresa send Reels back and forth to each other all day long. She would send me these hairs that were so elaborate and fabulous and a lot of them were Italian weddings, Mediterranean weddings, like very over the top. Then me, Tre and Gia went to Bridal Styles Boutique in New York, we were there for like three hours. She tried on every hairpiece and every crown, maybe twice. When they put this one on her head, it brought tears to my eyes. I was like this is the crown.”

“As we know, my girl Teresa is the queen of Jersey, so we needed hair that was fit for a Queen,” Casazza revealed. “You go big or you go home. (Teresa) said, ‘My hair has to be over the top.'”The stylist also revealed that Ruela prefers his new bride’s hair out of her face, so she was mindful of the groom’s preferences on the couple’s big day, sweeping Giudice’s locks into a twisted half-up look inside of an enormous crown. Inspired by Italian and Mediterranean brides with elaborate hairstyles, Casazza built a custom mesh piece featuring $7,000 worth of real human hair extensions. The price of the styling itself? Around $2,500. It took close to two hours for Casazza and other members of the glam squad to remove more than 1,500 bobby pins from Giudice’s hair after the reception “before she could do any nasty freaky wedding activities” with the groom. But she may have had some difficulty moving, as Casazza said Tre was complaining about her neck hurting by the end of the night under the weight of so much hair.

Former “Real Housewives of New York” star and wedding attendee Dorinda Medley called in to Cohen’s radio show to give the inside scoop from the event as well, saying, “It was a ‘Rapunzel, Rapunzel, let down your hair’ moment. It was a lot of hair but she can pull it off. It worked.”

As some fans sent forth their best wishes to the star on her wedding, there were few fans who did not hold back to call out the stars heavy hairdo. One fan wrote, that they hoped "Bravo hid a GoPro in Teresa Giudice’s hair to film the wedding," while another believed "exhubby Joe" was hiding in the reality star's hair, calling her "pure Jersey!" Another wanted her to "divorce her hairstylist," while one tweet quipped "Heavy is the head that wears the hair."  Another fan wrote that the FBI had received "a warrant to raid Teresa Giudice’s hair".

Later on, Andy went on to congratulate the stylist for her work creating a newsworthy style. “You really did it and made a big impact,” said Cohen. “Most importantly, the bride was happy. So anybody on the phone who’s calling in to say you loved it, or you didn’t love it…Guess what? It doesn’t really matter. The bride loved it.”
