DELRAY BEACH, FLORIDA: 'Teen Mom' alum Nathan Griffith is behind bars for domestic abuse against his girlfriend. The 35-year-old, who has a son with Jenelle Evans was arrested and charged with committing domestic battery by strangulation on Friday, February, 24, according to TMZ. At the time of the incident, Delray Beach, Florida police responded to a 911 call reporting a domestic disturbance.
The 911 caller was identified as Nathan's brother-in-law, William, who informed the police that the reality star allegedly told him that he "lost it," choked a woman, and dragged her up the stairs. The relative claimed amid the call, Nathan hung up which prompted William to message the girlfriend to ask if she was okay and the girlfriend replied, "No!" However, his girlfriend's identity was not released but it is believed to be May Oyola. Nathan is currently being held at the Palm Beach County jail without a bond.

What happened between Nathan Griffith and his girlfriend?
Upon police arrival, Nathan was uncooperative and was trying to lure the police into leaving by saying William was on drugs. However, police proceeded to conduct a preliminary inquiry and noticed several scratches on Nathans's neck and back, which the reality star claimed came from the pair having sex. Doctors said the girlfriend was visibly sobbing and emotional and was uncooperative initially, but eventually, she told the police that Nathan had aggressively assaulted her.
She shouted, "I'm 100 some pounds and he's 250 how in the hell am I supposed to get him off me," according to the reports. Police also noticed visible bruising on her neck and the victim said she couldn't explain the specifics, as she "blacked out." Moreover, Nathan was eventually taken into custody for domestic battery by strangulation.

Griffith was previously arrested in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, for a traffic violation in 2018. At the time, his former fiance Jenelle Evans claimed she is not surprised by her baby daddy's arrest. “It doesn’t surprise me at all,” the 'Teen Mom 2' star, 26, told E!, according to PEOPLE. “It’s sad that Kaiser was there this weekend and a witness to all of this. Hopefully, Nathan doesn’t continue to make the same mistakes and set a better example for his son.”
The following year Griffith was arrested and charged with driving while impaired by the Cary Police Department in Cary, North Carolina. A spokesperson for the Cary Police said, “We got a call at around 5:23 p.m. about a person unconscious in a vehicle at the Harris Teeter. When the fire department arrived on the scene, they found that the vehicle was running and determined the nature of the call was not medical so they contacted PD."
"Our officer arrived on the scene, conducted a DWI investigation, formed the opinion that he was impaired and placed him under arrest,” the spokesperson told PEOPLE. Griffith was released after posting a $10,000 bond overnight.
Who is Nathan Griffith's girlfriend?
The MTV star was last linked to being married to May Oyola. The pair announced they got married in a secret Miami ceremony back in April 2022. "I was just wanting to be casual," Nathan told The Sun. "I was out of a long relationship and I really wasn't looking for anybody, but as soon as I met up with her, I knew she was the one."
Furthermore, Griffith and Oyola were reported to be going through a rough patch, however, it is unclear if the pair have worked through their issue.
