Ted Cruz booed and hit by beer can at Houston Astros World Series parade, Internet asks, 'Is the beer can ok?'
HOUSTON, TEXAS: A man was arrested after he hurled a beer can at Texas Sen. Ted Cruz as he rode in the Astros' World Series victory parade. A 33-year-old male was arrested without incident and is facing assault charges, Houston police said on Monday, November 7, 2022. A video that is now viral shows Cruz being targeted as he rode in a truck through Houston. The incident took place as Cruz was driven in a convoy, where there were other politicians, which passed near Houston's City Hall.
The unidentified man threw a beer can from within the crowd of Astros fans, and it hit Cruz in the neck and chest. The 51-year-old senator managed to block the can, which seemed full with his hand, saving his head. Police confirmed that he did not need medical attention.
