'Sweet Tooth' Season 2 Ending Explained: Is Gus dead? Here's what happened at the Yellowstone National Park
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The first season of ‘Sweet Tooth’ took everyone by storm and became a blockbuster hit for Netflix. The streaming platform knew about the show’s massive popularity and renewed it for Season 2. Now, after a long wait of 2 years, the fantasy drama series has finally made its way to Netflix with its second edition and fans are damn excited to see Gus’s new adventure. Season 1 of the series ended with a massive cliffhanger. General Abbot took Dr. Aditya and his wife, Rani (Aliza Vellani), with him and forced Aditya to work on a cure for The Sick. On the other hand, all the hybrids have also been captured by Abbot.
In Season 2 of the Netflix show, things are darker than ever as Aditya tries everything and anything to find the cure while the Big Man travels extreme lengths to save Gus (Christian Convery) who has also been captured by General Abbot. As the season progresses, we get to know about Abbot’s ambitions and how he wants to create a place called “Evergreen” where The Sick won’t be allowed. It would be a modern-day facility that will keep all the Sick people outside and only people, who have been injected with the cure, can live there. Rani convinced Aditya (Adeel Akhtar) to tell the truth in front of all the lords that are coming to see Abbot (Neil Sandilands), but he flips and lies in front of them.

Elsewhere, the hybrids are planning to get out of the zoo and fortunately, they manage to do that with the help of Big Man and Aimee. During their journey, the Big Man finds out that Aimee is also one of The Sick and it’s a matter of time before she dies because of the untreatable disease. Also, Bear has joined them in their journey and the entire Animal Army is now there to protect everyone on the bus.
Abbot is furious and kills every member of the Animal Army. The penultimate episode ends with Gus and everyone knowing that Abbot is coming to kill them all. Here’s how Season 2 ended.

Abbot, along with his army, reaches Yellowstone National Park to kill everyone because they ruined his plan. However, the first casualty in the finale is no one, but Abbot’s brother Johnny. He was furious with what Abbot was doing and was stopping him from committing a heinous crime. Johnny wanted to shoot Abbot, but his gun turned out to be empty. At first, Abbot told his brother to walk away but as soon as he did, Abbot shot him from behind and left his body in the woods.
On the other hand, Aimee and the Big Man tell every hybrid to travel and meet Mr. and Mrs. Anderson. They would help them in reaching a secured location and they will be away from the fight. The hybrids, except Gus, travel to meet them and were able to locate them. The duo helps the hybrids to reach a secure location. However, Wendy runs away from the group to help Aimee and the Big Man in the fight.
Elsewhere, The Big Man, Aimee, and Gus seem to have an edge over Abbot because they were able to neutralize most of Abbot’s men by executing their plans. The Big Man finally meets Abbot in the woods and doesn’t shy away from hitting him continuously. The Big Man is angry and he continues to hit him rigorously. But Abbot knew his weakness and attacked the left knee of The Big Man. His left knee had some problems and Abbot took advantage of that. Abbot was able to put him down and resumed his search for Aimee.

Abbot was able to find Aimee inside a wooden house and engage in a fight. At first, it looked like Abbot was in control and would end her life. As soon as Aimee revealed that she is sick, Abbot tries distancing himself from her. In the middle of the fight, Aimee injects Abbot with two syringes that seem to have a serum that would make people sick. Gus, who was hiding in the attic, comes out and gets away with a liquid component that would have helped Abbot get cured.
Abbot follows Gus and shoots him in the leg. He is about to shoot him in the head when he screams at the top of his lungs. His scream triggers a pack of bulls as they run toward Abbot and run over him. But they don’t even touch Gus. Everything looked to be over, but we were wrong. Gus was walking toward The Big Man when Abbot used the crossbow to hit Gus with an arrow. He struck his back and Gus fell down to the ground.

Aimee was sick and she was destined to fall. So, Aimee died and she had a beautiful death because she died with Wendy on her side. On the other hand, Abbot died a pack of Bulls ran over him. What about Gus? Is he okay? Yes, he is okay and his story will move forward because he is now getting ready to embark on a journey to find his mother in Alaska.

Dr. Aditya tried to kill himself at the beginning of the finale by sitting in a room that was filled with flowers that could have killed people. However, he survived because he has Gus’s broken antler, meaning Gus is the answer to every problem here.
On the other hand, Rani took the drastic decision of leaving Aditya when he went back to look for his research even when they had the time to get away from everything and lead a better life. Rani leaves her and embarks on a journey to live freely and without any stress.
Bear is finally able to meet her sister Wendy who was taken away from her when they were really young. They are together now.
