'Sweet Home' Season 3 Episode 5 Takeaway: Is Lee Eun-hyuk back? Much anticipated reunion takes deadly turn

SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA: Netflix has released the third and final season of 'Sweet Home', which is set against the backdrop of Earth immersed in an unusual epidemic that converts humans into ugly-looking monsters.
Based on the same-named webtoon, the television series narrates the fiction of Cha Hyun-su (Song Kang), who, in the first season, becomes the first human to manage his urges and, therefore, take control of his monster skills.
Another fan-favorite character, Lee Eun-hyuk (Lee Do-hyun), who was thought to be killed in the season one finale, reappears in the final season, leaving fans enthusiastic.
However, Eun-hyuk is no longer the same guy he was in Season 1, having altered as a result of being infected with the virus, which will undoubtedly make things much more complicated for humans as well as monsters.
Why did Lee Eun-hyuk attack Cha Hyun-su in 'Sweet Home' Season 3 Episode 5?
The fifth episode of the show features the much-anticipated reunion of Hyun-su and Eun-hyuk, who were supposed to reconcile after a long time.
However, the reunion does not go as planned since Eun-hyuk is infected with the monster outbreak, and the man has changed dramatically.
While heading to the stadium with Sergeant Kim Young-hoo (Kim Mu-yeol), he witnesses Hyun-su beating Jae-jin.
Later, Hyun-su's wing gets stuck inside a bus where Eun-hyuk arrives and taunts him that things will become difficult for him.
Eun-hyuk then implores Hyun-su to aid him, emphasizing that, like the real Hyun-su, the monster Hyun-su would eventually help him.
Enraged by his words, the two keep punching each other until Jae-jin manages to get away from Sergent Kim's gruesome fury and assaults the bus, coating it with the melted metal that consumed the vehicle
Later, Hyun-su and Eun-hyuk are spotted sitting inside the bus, where Hyun-su allows Eun-hyuk to escape using his wings while remaining inside.
What will happen to Lee Eun-hyuk in 'Sweet Home' Season 3?
It's clear that Eun-hyuk has undergone a significant personality change as he even declined to acknowledge his sister, Lee Eun-yu (Go Min-si), and showed no inclination to assist Hyun-su after getting off the bus.
This stands in stark contrast to the protective and caring Eun-hyuk that we saw in Season 1.
Furthermore, Eun-hyuk's taunting and bids for assistance suggest a manipulative tactic aimed at abusing Hyun-su's feeling of loyalty.
Now, even if Eun-hyuk assists Hyun-su in resisting the oncoming danger, it is unclear how much the man can be trusted.
With his new attitude, it seems that Eun-hyuk has his own agenda and will work on it, removing anyone who stands in his way.
That being said, I have no regrets about experiencing Eun-hyuk's bad guy phase, since it enriched the show's suspense and stakes, making it much more enjoyable.
