Will Lee Eun-hyuk be a villain in 'Sweet Home' Season 3? Here's what to expect
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The fictitious world of Green Home inhabitants will once again be turned upside down as Netflix prepares to premiere 'Sweet Home' Season 3 on Friday, July 19, 2024.
Based on the webtoon of the same name, the series follows the residents of the Green Home apartment complex as they face a horrifying and unexplainable phenomenon where humans are transforming into monster beasts.
The Season 3 trailer of the show promises a heart-pounding climax as Cha Hyun-su (Song Kang) not only have to confront monsters but his beloved friend Lee Eun-hyuk (Lee Do-hyun) as well.
What had happened with Lee Eun-hyuk in 'Sweet Home'?
In Season 1 of the show, Eun-hyuk is shown as a vital survivor and a leader at Green Home who uses his knowledge and smart thinking to keep the community safe.
He is also Lee Eun-yu's (Go Min-si) elder brother who makes tough choices and risks his life to ensure the group's survival.
He is presumed dead after remaining behind during a massive monster onslaught to enable the locals to leave, leaving his fate unknown.
In Season 2, Eun-yu continues to believe that her brother is still alive and this is what exactly turns out to be true in the season finale as Eun-hyuk emerges from the cocoon, nude and presumably transformed.
His transformation is terrifying and indicates a horrific transition, prompting fans to speculate about his role in the future season.
Will Lee Eun-hyuk be an antagonist in 'Sweet Home' Season 3?
The Season 3 trailer depicts Eun-hyuk taking a clear hostile attitude, suggesting a probable battle with Hyun-su, while his monstrous shape and eerie aura indicate a darker path.
However, there is always the prospect of redemption or surprising story twists. The series has a past of intricate character arcs, therefore, Eun-hyuk's final significance in Season 3 is still unclear.
Given his tight bond with Eun-yu and the other survivors, he may alternate between being an enemy and an ally, depending on his ability to control his monster side.
This intricacy may make his character essential to the story, adding depth and unpredictability to Season 3's plot.
