'Survivor: Island of the Idols' Season 39: Fans hope Dean doesn't latch on to Kellee now that his showmance with Chelsea is over
'Survivor: Island of the Idols' season 39 returned to our screens on Wednesday night, and it was time for the most awaited tribe swap. And while everyone is getting used to their new tribe, Dean might have found his next target for a showmance, and fans are not ready for it.
While everyone from the Lairo tribe was over the fact that Chelsea is out, Dean was upset because their showmance was just getting started, and mostly he was blindsided about the elimination and had no idea that the rest of the tribe was voting out Chelsea. The next day, detective Dean began his mission of finding out who was the root cause of Chelsea's elimination. He questions everyone and finally figures out that Missy was the one who instigated that everyone votes for Chelsea and not Karishma.
Now with the tribe swap done and dusted, Dean, Tom, and Karishma from the Lairo tribe remained in Lairo, Jamal, Jack, Janet, Noura, and Kellee moved from Vokai to Lairo. With Chelsea gone, Dean feels left out and is stuck with Tom. Karishma flips sides and wants to join the former Vokai tribe members. Talking to Kellee, Karishma calls Dean and Tom thieves and reveals that they have been targetting her ever since the second tribal council.
While Kellee is all ready to put the target on Dean's back for the tribal council, the two bond and find out that they have a mutual friend - Dean's ex-girlfriend who went to business school with Kellee. They get talking over it and that makes us wonder did Kellee and Dean know about this before the tribe swap or did they talk about it after? How close are Kellee and Dean's ex-girlfriend? Is Dean and Kellee's bond growing closer?
But the main question stuck in the minds of fans is, 'Is there going to be a new showmance between Dean and Kelle'? Because after Dean and Kellee had their little chat, Kellee seemed to have had a soft corner for him and does not want to get rid of him in the tribal council.
This is also the first season where two contestants found a mutual friend between them.
Taking to Twitter, fans shared their take on this new bond, just hoping that Kellee doesn't become Dean's second showmance this season. They also warned Kellee to stay away from Dean. "#Survivor ugh dean stay away from kellee," wrote a fan. Adding to that another fan said, "No Kellee baby do not go with Dean #survivor #survivor39."
"Dean & Kellee are getting close! #Survivor," shred a fan. Some fans are also shocked with the fact that the two have a mutual connection. "Wow, what are the odds, @Kellee_kim went to college with Dean's ex-girlfriend, small world after all! #Survivor." wrote a fan.
"Ooooh shit Dean and Kellee are the new THEY KNOW EACH OTHER!! alliance !!?!? #Survivor," shared another fan.
