In the opening episode of 'Stranger Things 4', Vecna’s first victim at Hawkins High was Chrissy the cheerleader, followed by Fred Benson in Episode 2. At first, the two students seemed to have nothing in common, one was a peppy popular girl, the other was a student journalist. However, they did have one thing in common. They were both seeing the school counselor at the time. Not just them, but this can be observed in some other victims to, like Fred. The link is important, especially considering the Vecna-laced nightmares all three experienced, played off their respective traumas.

The one to put this all together is Max (Sadie Sink). Max turns to Ms Kelly as an outlet as she tried to process the death of her brother Billy (Dacre Montgomery) at the end of season four. She begins seeing apparitions of her late brother and an eerie grandfather clock. Eager to solve this, Max breaks into Ms Kelly's office and steals the files of the others who had been brutally slain and realizes they had all been seeing the same obnoxious things as she had before their death. Max herself had began seeing apparitions of her late brother and an eerie grandfather clock. That's where she connected the dots about Ms Kelly's possible association with Vecna.

When Max tried to reach out to Ms Kelly to ask her about the connections of these students having similar death experiences, she shuts her down in the name of student privacy. The children that died had quite similar experiences to how Max had. Adding to the fact that the grandfather clock is directly related to Vecna and it's the last sound the victims hear before dying. One fan tweeted, "I have a feeling ms kelly might be in vol 2 she seems odd and i feel like she knows about vecna and is related to him in the background you can hear a clock ticking and she is wearing a clock necklace and when max goes to her house there’s a clock on the wall."

And now, a fan has decoded the Ms Kelly scenes and noticed that she wore a necklace that appeared to have a clock inside of a key on it. All these little things are just enough to give us the gist of how Ms. Kelly could possibly be working with Vecna all the way. We were just late to realize it. Some fans on Twitter have gone so far as to suggest Ms. Kelly could be Alice Creel, all grown up. It’s an argument that’s taken hold since the series revealed Henry Creel, Number One, and Vecna are the same person.
