'Sell some more merch': Internet in splits as court orders Stormy Daniels to pay Donald Trump $121K in legal fees
NEW YORK CITY, NEW YORK: Stormy Daniels has been ordered to pay for Donald Trump's legal expenses for the 2018 defamation case filed by the porn star that got later dismissed. The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday, April 4, ordered Daniels to pay Trump a total sum of $121K.
This case stemmed from a tweet by the former POTUS which stated, "A sketch years later about a nonexistent man. A total con job, playing the Fake News Media for Fools." Back then, S James Otero, a US District Court judge in Los Angeles, claimed, “The tweet in question constitutes ‘rhetorical hyperbole’ normally associated with politics and public discourse in the U.S."

What is the defamation case related to?
Daniels claimed in a 2011 interview that she had an affair with the former POTUS, which Trump denied. She claimed that an unnamed man approached and threaten her. According to Daniels, the man reportedly said, “Leave Trump alone. Forget the story." He apparently further said, “That’s a beautiful little girl," referring to Daniels's daughter, as per In Touch Magazine. He also added, "It’d be a shame if something happened to her mom." This narration of the incident was termed as "a total con job" by Trump in 2018.
Soon after the verdict was out on Tuesday, April 4, Donald Trump Jr tweeted, "BREAKING!!! the 9th Circuit just awarded Trump $121,962.56 in attorney fees from Stormy Daniels. Order just released. This in addition to the roughly $500k she already owes him. LOL glad she’s out there saying her T-shirt sales are booming she’ll be able to afford to pay Trump!" Meanwhile, $122K is on top of the $300K which Daniels has to pay to Trump when the case was previously ruled out. Eric Trump, executive vice president of the Trump Organization tweeted the same.

What is the response from Donald Trump?
Donald Trump stated on Truth Social, "Alvin Bragg shut down New York City, brought in 38,000 NYPD officers, and will spend an estimated $200,000,000 of NYC funds, for a totally legal $130,000 NDA. On top of all that, the 9th Circuit Court just awarded me $122,000 — over the $500,000 already awarded, from Stormy “Horseface” Daniels!"
'Boomerang! This is the first of many'
The Internet quickly reacted to the verdict. A user said, "@StormyDaniels going to go BANKRUPT!" "Let the backfire begin," added another. A tweet read, "Boomerang! This is the first of many." "He got arrested and has a better day than me lol," noted a user. A user claimed, "Might as well be a million. She will never pay it." "@StormyDaniels huh. You need to sell some more merch," read a comment. "I’m in praying with trump and his whole family @EricTrump," noted another. A user noted, "There aren’t enough polls in clubs to pay that back." Another explained, "I see a fundraiser for stormy soon." "You don’t say! Trump 2024. Pay up Stormy," explained a user.
