LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: The 57th Super Bowl was played on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona. While many fans were rooting for their favourite teams, some were only interested in Rihanna's halftime show and the TV ad spots for upcoming movies like the new Indiana Jones 5 and of course a whole host of superhero films. MCU fans, in particular, were hoping to get a glimpse of 'The Marvels' trailer. Rumours had it that the trailer would be released during the Super Bowl, which turned out to be untrue.

Other high-profile trailers for movies such as 'Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3' and 'The Flash' were premiered, but it seems the studio bosses are keeping the 'The Marvels' under wraps for now. As every outrage ends up on Twitter, this animosity led fans to come to Twitter to express their anger. While some expressed deep sadness of their expectations being crushed, some coped with the disappointment with a series of hilarious memes.

Creativity in the state of being furious

There are two ways that fans express their love/hate about a movie on Twitter. One is with words, and the other is posting tried and tested memes and gifs that sum it all up. With the Super Bowl situation, fans shared on the internet a series of sad messages along with some relatable memes. One tweeted, "Me acting like I don’t care about The Marvels trailer so it comes faster," while another wrote, "If Marvel doesn’t release The Marvels trailer, I will break into their studio."

Some users still didn't give hope and were waiting for the trailer to drop and shared, "Still waiting for the marvels trailer…" with another user tweeting, "eagles lost and no trailer for the marvels ???" about witnessing their favourite team lose on top of not getting to see the trailer.

Some users tuned in just to watch the trailer and shared their disappointment with, "THEY GOT ME WATCHING THE SUPERBOWL JUST TO NOT SHOW A #TheMarvels TRAILER". Another tweet added, "the marvels trailer today!! if we manifest it enough we’ll get it, it’s real."

Some users recorded themselves while attending the Super Bowl tweeting, "Still waiting for The Little Mermaid and The Marvels trailers".

When will 'The Marvels' trailer actually release?

With 'The Marvels' not dropping the trailer during Super Bowl, fans are wondering when to expect it instead. Since 'Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania' is coming out next week, 'The Marvels' will likely wait a couple weeks, at the very least, before building up the buzz. Marvel studios usually does have very fixed plans for all of its movies. So it is quite understandable to see fans being angry about the lack of a trailer promised to them by the grapevine. 'The Marvels' has only revealed some set pictures along with the logo for the movie, which is nothing when it comes to key details. At this point, the wait better be worth it for all the Marvel fans out there.
