Who is Steven Canady? Alabama man, 62, arrested for producing and distributing child pornography
FLORENCE, ALABAMA: Steven Canady, a Florence man was arrested by the Florence Police Department officials for producing and distributing child pornography. He was held on a $1.6 million bond for the felony charge.
According to WAFF 48, the Florence Police Department received a piece of information from a source in Florence sent by the National Centre for Missing and Exploited Children on November 21 regarding the possibility of the presence and sharing of child pornography. The officials along with detectives sought further investigation based on the information received.

Who is Steven Canady?
Steven Wayne Canady, 62, was arrested on the grounds of producing and distributing sick child pornographic content. From an investigation conducted by the Florence Police Department officials, they identified a juvenile victim. Canady's home was under investigation after the officials were able to obtain a search warrant, reported WAFF 48.
The search warrant was executed by the detectives with the Florence Police Department officials on November 23. The team located sufficient evidence from the search conducted at Canady's home. With more than 50 charges of felony, Canady was arrested in the morning on counts as follows:
• 25 counts of Possession and possession with intent to disseminate obscene matter containing visual depiction of persons under 17 years of age involved in obscene acts (13A-12-192)
• 25 counts of Dissemination or public display of obscene matter containing visual depiction of persons under 17 years of age involved in obscene acts (13A-12-191)
• 5 counts of Production of obscene matter containing visual depiction of a person under 17 years of age involved in obscene acts (13A-12-197)
On an official note, Detective Justin Adams thanked the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency for their help with the case on behalf of the Florence Police Department through their official Facebook page. The post by the department also wrote, "This remains an active case and no further information will be released at this time. *Steven Canaday is presumed innocent until proven guilty."
On a $1,625,000 bond, Canady is currently held in custody at the Lauderdale County Detention Center as per the information shared on the official Facebook page by the Florence Police Department.
