A long-distance relationship can take its toll on even the most stable of couples and stability has not exactly been Carina and Maya's strength on 'Station 19'. While Carina (Stefania Spampinato) and Maya (Danielle Savre) finally seem to be in a steady place, fans are quite sure that after all Carina and Maya have been through — with cheating, the pandemic and Andrew DeLuca's death — distance is the last thing that the couple needs.

This is why fans were relieved when Maya chose to go to Italy with Carina when it came to light that Carina's visa had expired in the last episode. But while fans don't want any distance between Carina and Maya, they don't want any distance between them and their favorite 'Station 19' couple either.

While initially, some fans had imagined a montage of Carina and Maya living in Italy, fans are now starting to wonder just how the show creators will actually handle a move to Italy for the couple. It has begun to make some fans nervous. One fan tweeted, "I‘m more worried they’re both leaving the show, if only for a time, to be together in Italy! Maybe there’s a time jump coming?"

Another tweeted, "The only thing that better happen is eirher they cant leave the US and end up married to keep Carina here or they go to Italy and come back married... They have to be end game... Do not split them up..."

It seems that figuring out how to make the new dynamics of their relationship work is going to be tough for Carina and Maya, considering the synopsis of the upcoming episode called 'Here It Comes Again'. The synopsis reads: "Maya, Jack, Vic, Travis and Sullivan respond to a burn call at an ice rink. Meanwhile, a pregnant woman and her husband seek out the station for help; and Maya and Carina have a difficult conversation."

Well, we hope that difficult conversation doesn't include rethinking their relationship. To find out if marriage or a move is on the cards for Carina and Maya, you can tune into new episodes of 'Station 19' on Thursdays at 8 pm on ABC.
