There certainly hasn't been a dull moment for Carina DeLuca (Stefania Spampinato) and Maya Bishop (Danielle Savre) over the last few episodes of 'Station 19'. First, it was the loss of Carina's brother Andrew DeLuca (Giacomo Gianniotti) and, of course, grappling with the grief that followed, including Carina's father not even bothering to call Carina when he knew Andrew was dead. The smile came back to Carina's face, however, when a former flame  Gabriella came to stay, and comfort her in her hour of need.

But while Carina may have been happy to share memories of Andrew with her old medical schoolmate, Maya struggled to keep her jealousy in check, all while dealing with the condescending comments Carina's friend threw her way.

But whether it was grief or good old-fashioned jealousy, Marina, as their fans call them, has taken on every challenge that has come their way with aplomb. Maya was an absolute rock for Carina during the lowest stage of her grief, helping her not just to make practical arrangements for Andrew's funeral, but also helping her to get in touch with her grief and channel it properly. As for the jealousy, Maya feels about Carina's former flame, Carina talks her down from spiraling, by saying what she and Gabriella share, is like what Maya shares with Jack (Grey Damon). But what she and Maya have is totally different.

By just talking and being honest with each other, the two are able to avoid any further drama. It now seems, however, that the couple who finally seem to be in a good place, may have to shift away from that quite literally. In the latest trailer for 'Station 19', we see Carina telling Maya, that her visa has expired and she may have to go back to Italy.

However, if Maya is not ready to propose just yet, we can think of another alternative — the two could even move to Italy together. After all, we could think of worse places to let a romance truly blossom. Maybe then Maya will finally pick up some more Italian.

'There's gonna be a double proposal'

Fans, however, think there is a rather simple solution to this quandary, that Maya should simply put a ring on it.

One fan on YouTube said, "I think maya will ask carina to marry her, so that she doesn’t have to go back to italy"

Since the upcoming episode is a 'Grey's Anatomy' and 'Station 19' crossover episode, some fans are even hoping for a double proposal. One fan on YouTube said, "Omg how much y’all wanna bet there’s gonna b a double proposal with amelia & link and maya & carina".

Others, however, aren't taking such a rosy view of the situation and are worried that this could spell the end of Carina and Maya's relationship. One fan on Instagram said, "Oh no no no not a marina breakup", while others said while they have been asking for more screen time for Carina, this isn't what they had in mind. One fan on Instagram said, "We said give carina more screen time not this😭"

So will Marina have more screen time following this? Or will we be forced to see the two seperated for the moment at least? To find out if there is a proposal or a parting, you can tune into the latest episodes of 'Station 19' on Thursday at 8|7c on ABC.
