These texts provide a glimpse into a father's personality as well as his relationship with his child. Utilization of the pattern to comedic impact, with short texts or not excessively tender, for example, 'alright' or the thumbs-up emoticon. Others sincerely use the trend, displaying some of the sentimental or loving texts their fathers have sent them.

What song is used for the trend?

The videos are all posted with the same audio with the lyrics, "I don’t care how long it takes, as long as I’m with you, I’ve got a smile on my face." The track in question is by d4vd and is titled 'Here With Me.'
