LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Fourth and final season of 'Snowpiercer' has finally arrived, delivering a chilling tale of a train and its passengers in a post-apocalyptic world one last time.

Since Season 1, the characters have come a long way, yet the chaos on the train remains unchanged.

For three seasons, Melanie Cavill (Jennifer Connelly), Andre Layton (Daveed Diggs), and Joseph Wilford (Sean Bean) have taken turns to battle against each other for control of the train's operations.

Just when Andre and Melanie teamed up for a greater mission for humanity and got rid Wilford in the Season 3 finale, Season 4 introduced a brand new threat.

Snowpiercer's smooth run after parting ways with Big Alice turns out to be short-lived. A staged rocket crash brings the train to a halt, prompting Ben (Iddo Goldberg) and Bess Till (Mickey Sumner) to step out into the snow to investigate.

However, they are ambushed by unknown survivors, who hold them at gunpoint and forcefully board the Snowpiercer.

Leader of the group introduces himself as Admiral Anton Milius (Clark Gregg) from International Peacekeeping Forces and demands meeting Melanie.

Episode 1 leaves fans with suspense without revealing what the Admiral wants from Melanie. However, it's sure that he is there to disrupt the peace of the train.

At this point, there are two theories about Admiral and his men.

One theory suggests that Admiral may have collaborated with Wilford before the freeze to lay out the tracks across the world.

After Melanie and Andre forced Wilford to deboard the train in Season 3's finale, Admiral's team might have found him in a state of suspension and revived him. This would explain how Admiral knows Melanie and why his first demand is to meet her.

They want her to surrender the Engine and are willing to take lives to achieve this, which aligns with Wilford's ruthless tactics.

If Wilford is indeed making a comeback, it would imply that the new survivors invade Andre's new habitat at New Eden and kidnap his daughter as part of a revenge plan.

The second theory is that the US military created their own secret hideout to survive the freeze, which remained unknown to the public and was reserved for high-ranking government officials.

It is possible that their resources are depleting, and in a desperate act, they attack the Snowpiercer to secure the resources needed for survival.

However, this theory does not justify the act of kidnapping Andre's baby girl, which circles back to the first theory that Wilford is involved. This theory holds more weight as Dr Headwood (Sakina Jaffrey) is cooperating with Admiral's team and calls the man in the white metal suit a "friend" who is there to help.

We hope to get more clarity about Admiral's intentions in Episode 2 of 'Snowpiercer' Season 4, scheduled to air on AMC+ on July 28, 2024.
