‘Snowpiercer’ Season 2 Episode 8 Recap

Sam Roche (Mike O’Malley) acts as the narrative voice-over of the episode and talks about the forthcoming civil war. The bodies of the Breachmen are being ejected from the train and the crew, helplessly, just watches over the proceedings. The entire sequence makes one thing clear: the end is near.
The primary focus of the episode, titled ‘The Eternal Engineer’, is on Roche and his wife Anne (Elaine Kao).

Both of them have different loyalties and look at the existing situation in two different ways. Sam believes in Layon, whereas his wife supports Joseph Wilford (Sean Bean).  Meanwhile, there is a leak on the train and water starts to enter inside some of its cars.

Wilford deploys Icy Bob (Andre Tricoteux) to vandalize the Snowpiercer. Alex (Rowan Blanchard) sees Icy Bob outside the train and suspects foul play. Layton and Till ask the breachman to go out and repair the damage. However, he refuses to believe that Wilford is behind all the damage and the deaths of his comrades.

The breachman identifies the fault and feels Wilford is behind all this. Meanwhile, the Hydrogen levels begin to fluctuate on Snowpeircer. The engineers are unable to fix the issue, and reluctantly, they agree to let in Wilford.

Wilford manages to take control of the Snowpiercer while Layton loses everything that he had gained.

‘Snowpiercer’ Season 4 Season Finale Spoilers

A promo for the two-hour season finale is already out and the 30-second clip is enough to make the viewers realize that they are in for an exhilarating finale. The official synopsis for Episode 9 reads, “Wilford assumes the control of Snowpiercer; those who are close with Layton grow anxious to learn their fates; Josie (Katie McGuinness) tests her newfound ability.”
Meanwhile, the official synopsis of Episode 10 reads, “As the train approaches Melanie’s (Jennifer Connelly) retrieval point, Layton leads a furious attempt to try and pick her up but not without some sacrifices.”

Surprisingly, Layton and Ruth (Alison Wright) will be teaming up to take down Wilford. Both characters have been complete opposites since the series began. However, one thing that Layton and Ruth have both agreed on is that the train has to come first.

It will be interesting to see how both the characters will come together to defeat the evil.
