'Sisyphus: The Myth' episode 8 will see what Tae-sul (Cho Seung-woo) will do with the information that he got from the chairman of Quantum and Time. While he did not learn the identity of the person who runs Sigma, he realized that Sigma is closer than he first assumed. Now, he wants to track and hunt them down.

However, hunting down Sigma was not Seo-hae's (Park Shin-hye) initial plan and after Tae-sul's brother, Tae-san, warned her about how she could put his brother in danger, and what Seo-hae wants more than anything is for Tae-sul to be safe and healthy. So when Tae-sul suggests how he wants to be the one to put his life on line, she freaks out.

'Sisyphus: The Myth' Episode 7: Who is Sigma? Tae-sul and Seo-hae challenge secret organization

'Sisyphus: The Myth' Episode 5: Tae-sul will save Seo-hae only to part ways later, is this the start of a war?

It doesn't look like Tae-sul is ready to understand Seo-hae's worries and that is possibly why Seo-hae's only friend in the present, Choi Jae-sun, gets mad at Tae-sul. He cannot understand why Seo-hae would put herself at risk to save him and the more Tae-sul acts recklessly the more frustrated Seo-hae and her friend get. In episode 7, we saw Tae-sul receive a letter from his brother that told him not to worry and also stressed how he was happy to put his life at risk to ensure that Tae-sul was safe. This makes Tae-sul guilty, and he is also heartbroken.

The only thing that he can do at the moment is find out who really is behind Sigma and hope to stop the war. By stopping the war, he believes he can meet his brother again. However, can he really change the future? The recurring theme of the show is how Seo-hae and Tae-sul are continually challenged about what they can and cannot do and being able to change the future is one of them.

Can they really save their country from meeting its end when they are not even aware why a secret organization is dead set on making this very war happen? Speaking of Jae-sun, Seo-hae had made arrangements for him to leave the country. She had helped him win a lottery and that had led to him feeling grateful to her because she had saved his entire family. So instead of leaving as planned, he ends up sending his family away to return to help her.

In all the chaos, a part of the time travel theory gets revealed. Turns out Seo-hae was born in 2012 and in the present, she is still a child. It was also revealed that the pink diary that she had kept close belonged to her future self who had noted down the importance of saving Tae-sul to save the world. Of course, the diary was destroyed when Tae-sul and Seo-hae had jumped into the river, but whatever Seo-hae plans on doing to change the outcome of Tae-sul's discovery, it is going to put everyone she is close to in the path of danger.

'Sisyphus: The Myth' airs every Wednesday and Thursday at 9 pm KST on JTBC and can be streamed on Netflix in the US.
