'Sisyphus: The Myth' Episode 9: Control Bureau now has Seo-hae, can Tae-sul rescue her before she disappears?
'Sisyphus: The Myth' Episode 9 sees Seo-hae (Park Shin-hye) get captured by the Control Bureau but not before she ends up spending some quality time with Han Tae-sul (Cho Seung-woo). Seo-hae's wish had always been to visit an amusement park because she wanted to ride the Viking. As a child, before the war, she had visited the amusement park with her parents but because she was short, she was not allowed on the ride.
This was something that she had told Tae-sul and hoped that he would go with her to the amusement park. Initially, he had found the idea too cheesy. He had even told her that amusement parks were the most crowded and so he didn't want to visit. However, before she had been shot the last time around, he had promised to take her to one and ride the Viking with her.

So now, on the occasion of Seo-hae's birthday, he wants to gift her something nice. However, this turns into a nightmare because it is here that she gets captured by the Control Bureau who wants her to disappear from Tae-sul's side. So the chief officer in the bureau tells her that they are going to inject her with something that will ensure that she can never return to Tae-sul's side.
Then there is also the fact that the war is not too far away. This is the one that would ruin the country and kill thousands of people. With time moving quickly and no set way to help save the world, Seo-hae must be saved and from the looks of it, Tae-sul might be the one to save her. We see how he has finalized the location where Seo-hae is being held and he is in touch with someone who he thinks will help rescue Seo-hae.
Another interesting detail would be how the boss of the brokers is also being held in the underground by the Control Bureau. So if Tae-sul manages to break through the security, then he may have a chance at helping the broker as well. This might really be a gamechanger but will Tae-sul's plan materialize? That is something that we must wait and watch.
Another thing that becomes clear is that Sigma is a company that was founded solely to ensure that the world moves as it was supposed to. This includes the nuclear war that erased life from the face of the earth, at least in Seoul. So the scenes that we see of impending war, the ones where hordes of people are running away from bombs being fired is only an indication of what is to come.
