Simon Cowell slammed for implying Queen may be DEAD before Royal Variety in December

'Simon Cowell has definitely had too many beers with the queen this afternoon,' a user said in disbelief

Simon Cowell was slammed by 'Britain's Got Talent' viewers and netizens across the globe for implying that the Queen may not be around at that point to watch the winner perform. It is a well-known fact that the winner of the show gets a chance to perform at the Royal Variety Performance and Cowell's remark in the June 5 episode has come across as a shocker to many.

An impressive performance by comedian Ben Nickless got a standing ovation from the panel of judges in the episode. This was followed by Cowell telling Nickless, "Ben, thank you for reminding us what… I know the money is important and the bragging rights of winning are important, but actually this year more than any - anyone who gets the chance to perform… please God, it is the Queen… it’s going to be a huge big deal.”

Speculators have a feeling that either Cowell was trying to genuinely denote that the Queen has not attended this royal event after 2012 as she was replaced by Prince William and Kate, Duchess of Cambridge, or signifying that the Queen was ‘on her way out.’ 

One tweet read, "Simon Cowell has definitely had too many beers with the queen this afternoon". 

While another read, "Imagine being disliked by simon cowell on one of his shows and then being offered a place replacing freddie as the lead singer of queen!! adam lambert really proved him wrong and we love him for it"

Another joked, "I did not know Simon Cowell was married to a Black Queen, congratulations to him". 

"Ha ha the Queen would really dig the cringey 2000s reboot stage show of Mary Poppins the same way Simon Cowell digs aging naturally," read another tweet.

One user blatantly said, "What's so Horrifying? The woman is 96 and couldn't even attend a mass service due to discomfort... plus I can't remember the last time QEII actually attended to RV performance.. usually charles or Will and Kate."

Another tweet read, "The Queen *is* on the way out. I'm with @SimonCowell on this. And may Her Majesty rot in hell. For her negligence - for being a shameless hedonist and for her failure to apologise on behalf of the British Empire - for their crimes against humanity."

Another tweet in support of Cowell said, "Ooohh the elephant in the room sorry I mean Queen! Mustn't state the obvious she's only 96 years old. Imagine fake old Charles and his missus ugh unbearable"
