Sheila Keen Warren: Florida 'Killer Clown' murder trial delayed after new discovery of 'clown-sighting file'
PALM BEACH COUNTY, FLORIDA: The trial of a Florida woman who is accused of dressing up as a clown in 1990 and fatally shot the wife of a man she later married has been postponed yet again after her defense attorneys successfully sought time claiming that they had found a "clown sighting file", containing information about other clown-sighting leads at the time. The jury selection in the highly infamous "Killer Clown" case was set to begin this week after it was already delayed half a dozen times, according to Fox News.
The case involves the accused killer, Sheila Keen Warren who fatally shot a woman named Marlene Warren. Keen was accused of applying white face paint, a red nose, and an orange wig and traveling to the South Florida home of Marlene, more than three decades ago in 1990. She allegedly handed flowers and balloons to Marlene before shooting her in the face. For the next 27 years, Sheila Keen remained scot-free and even married Marlene's husband with whom she apparently had an affair before. Marlene's husband also happened to be Keen's boss at the time of the homicide.

She was later arrested in 2017 but pleaded not guilty to first-degree murder. Prosecutors informed defense attorneys on Wednesday, October 12, that they had found a "clown sighting file" which defense attorneys had been demanding but prosecutors had been saying they didn't have, according to Fox News. The 25-page "clown sighting file" has the names, addresses, or phone numbers of 40 credible leads, according to the court filing from defense attorneys. "Needless to say this will take the defense considerable time and resources to investigate," the defense argued, according to the report.

MEAWW previously reported that former adult film star Mercedes Carrera, who is facing jail time on charges of sexual abuse of a minor, has had her court trial date delayed for the 12th time in two years. Carrera, 38, and her husband Jason Whitney aka Daemon Cins, 45, were arrested in February 2019 for sexually abusing a child. The couple has been charged with 10 counts of sexual penetration or oral sex with a minor below 10 years of age. They are also facing charges for subjecting the child to sexual intercourse and sodomy. Aside from the sexual abuse of a female child, the couple was also arrested on charges of meth possession as well as keeping loaded guns at home. They were arrested from their home in Rancho Cucamonga in California in February 2019, after the local police received information about the alleged abuse in January 2019.
The alleged victim was later identified by Carrera and by the District Attorney as Carrera's daughter from a previous relationship. Carrera and the child's father were estranged over custody issues at the time of the allegations, which were made by the child in the presence of her father and a male police officer from the local precinct in Twin Peaks, Calif.
