'Shark Tank' fans slam Beulr pitch for virtual meetings bot, dub it 'stupid idea'

Generally, fans don't agree with everything that Sharks say, but in Beulr's case they agreed completely with the Sharks and slammed the pitch

Peter Solimine, an entrepreneur from New Rochelle, New York, walked into the tank with a product that he believed was a game-changer and one-of-a-kind- Beulr. Solimine was convinced that his nifty solution to attending early morning or lengthy, boring virtual meetings would be a revolutionary idea and a big hit amongst the Sharks.

Solimine came on 'Shark Tank' seeking $150,000 in exchange for a 20% stake in his company Beulr. Although Solimine was convinced that his product and pitch were too good to be passed upon, unfortunately for him the Sharks didn't share the same views. The Sharks noticed way too many red flags about not only the pitch but also the way the product was presented which prevented them from closing a deal with him.

Beulr is a meeting bot that can be used to attend online meetings on your behalf, allowing you to virtually be in two places at once. You simply have to schedule the meeting or class time in the app, enter your Zoom account info (optional but you’ll show up as a guest if you don’t), and enter the Zoom meeting ID. Voila, and a bot will attend the meeting on your behalf. You don’t even need to be at your computer or even have it on. The Sharks were very amused by the pitch and couldn't stop chuckling.

They appreciated Solimine's innovation but before getting into negotiations they began asking him questions about the numbers. When Solimine revealed that he was focussed more on growing the product rather than profits and profit margins, it instantly put off the Sharks. When they later learned that Solimine dropped out of college to focus on growing his business, they just began seeing too many red flags. The usually soft-spoken Robert Herjavec declared that Beulr wasn't a business and shouldn't be treated as one and declared that it had no potential. Lori Greiner and Kevin O'Leary had concerns about the integrity issues surrounding the product and decided to sit out on the deal.

Mark Cuban and Daymond John dubbed Beulr a bad idea and urged him to go back to school and finish his education instead. Solimine left the tank with no deal in his hand, but still seemed optimistic about his product and even toyed with the idea of going back to school. Generally, fans don't agree with everything that Sharks say on the show, but in Beulr's case they agreed completely with the Sharks and slammed the pitch.

A fan tweeted, "Beulr is the dumbest idea yet... funny pitch but better idea... if you're lazy (you are) and you don't wanna do the work (you don't), maybe quit your job #SharkTank." Another fan wrote, "Hilarious but stupid product. #Beulr @ABCSharkTank #SharkTank." "Not sure what type of meetings this guy has to go to but I’ve never been in any meeting where I don’t have to interact in some capacity, even just polite small talk before it begins. It would be so obvious when someone is using Beulr. #SharkTank," pointed out a fan.

Another fan expressed, "Slackers just got a new hero, and it’s the guy who developed @BeulrApp The name is the only smart thing about this concept. #SharkTank #ImOut." "#SharkTank. This reeks of privilege. Don’t show up or participate. And get paid. Bueler @ABCSharkTank It seems as if he’s a slacker and thought this insanity would sell. Integrity issue per @LoriGreiner A new form of hooky per @TheSharkDaymond," commented a fan.
