'Shadowhunters' season 3B: A Simon, Izzy, and Maia love triangle could be headed our way
Before Freeform's hit supernatural fantasy show 'Shadowhunters' went on its mid-season hiatus after the epic season 3A finale in May 2018, there was a lot of loose ends left untied, and even more confusing developments that could lead to some really juicy potential plots for the upcoming half of season three. One such takeaway from the season finale was the budding warmth between 'Sizzy' - aka Simon Lewis (Alberto Rosende) and Isabelle Lightwood (Emeraude Toubia); at the same time, the fact that Maia wasn't around while there were Sizzy embers sizzling also leads us to believe that there might be an inevitable love triangle of sorts brewing in the second half of season 3 too!
Based on the bestselling 'The Mortal Instruments' novels by Cassandra Clare, the show often diverts from the original story to bring in even more intriguing and twisted plotlines. And along the same lines, the showrunners have promised that there might be something going on for real between Simon and Izzy once the show resumes with its final installment. Executive producer Todd Slavkin has openly spoken about the two's prospects in the upcoming season 3B, and by the looks of it, things could potentially change for Simon, who has been in love with his best friend, Clary Fray (Katherine McNamara) for the longest time.
