Throughout the first 4 episodes of 'Sex, Love, and Goop', Paltrow makes some very valid points, and observations, backing up her thoughts with valuable and timely feedback. She founded "Goop" 13 years ago to unearth cutting-edge ideas, that could help optimize people's lives. She thought it was about time a fresh perspective was taken towards sex and intimacy.

Another vital statement the 'Iron Man' lives by is that the so-called "problems" that arise in a relationship are such amazing opportunities. She thinks it's a way of the universe saying to you, "Hey, like knock-knock, you know, you're not perfect, you have some growing up to do. You have some learning to do about yourself". She also shared a story about her therapist that said, "Your intimate relationship is a meditation in everything's that wrong with you".

On the show, she mentioned, "We're all human beings, we all have problems, we all have unresolved stuff. You gotta stay curious, especially when there are some friction points in your life, and things aren't feeling exactly as they should. which is just part of the process of being a human being, right?"

She also added that as it may be different for people of different genders and relationships, for the actress, it's so restorative when she can be completely open, soft, vulnerable, and not in control, and she really has that only within the context of her marriage. Although there still is a stigma around wanting to be soft and surrendered, Paltrow added that it's probably against feminism to submit to your partner sexually.

'Sex, Love and Goop' is available for streaming on Netflix.
