Seven months pregnant Texas woman bleeds to death after friend cuts her womb and takes out fetus
NEW BOSTON, TEXAS: A seven and a half months pregnant woman has died after her friend allegedly cut her womb open and fled with the fetus. The victim was identified as Reagan Hancock, 22, while the attacker is yet to be unidentified. Police said they responded to the scene at around 10:20 am on October 9 after receiving a 911 call and found that the fetus had been removed from Hancock’s body. The woman suspect was later detained in McCurtain County, Oklahoma by the authorities, and she is facing kidnapping and murder of an unborn child charges. More charges are expected to follow. KLTV reported that the accused went to a hospital in Idabel with the fetus of the baby girl, but she could not survive. "The child did not survive. At the request of the New Boston Police Department, the Texas Rangers are now investigating,” New Boston Police Department press release stated.
The soon-to-be-mother in August shared her excitement on Facebook, where she wrote: “Some of you know, some of you dont... but we are having another SWEET BABYGIRL come november the 10th (give or take). She already acts like her daddy & big sister. We cannot wait for our Braxlynn Sage to be here. Daddy is definitely out numbered."
Hancock’s lifeless body was reportedly found by her mother Jessica Brookes. She shared a heart-wrenching post for her dead daughter where she wrote: “I am begging for prayers without ceasing for our family. Our beautiful daughter Reagan Hancock and her precious unborn baby girl Braxlynn were murdered yesterday by Satan in the flesh. I found her and Marcus [Regan's dad} and Chris were on the scene right after me. Our family, friends, and community are rocked to the core. Our Reagan was one of the most precious people you would ever meet."
A fundraiser has also been created via PayPal for the devastated family. The page stated that the woman suspect was known to Hancock. “Reagan Hancock and her unborn baby were selfishly killed by someone Reagan considered a friend. We are trying to raise money for Homer and their daughter. Homer has been around racing for many years and is the man behind our outlaw lawn care. Let’s rally together and raise enough money to take any stress off him for any and all expenses that will occur,” the message on the page read, which has raised $11,850 in three days.
Writer Kenny Mitchell wrote a tribute for Hancock’s family, which was published in the local newspaper, the Bowie County Citizens Tribune. The message read: “It is my prayer this morning that Reagan’s family can find a way to feel that compassion in the coming days. It doesn’t really make the pain go away, the pain and loss will always be there, but it will soften it just enough to allow them to survive it.”
In another incident, a pregnant woman was allegedly killed by her friend, who took out her unborn child from the victim’s body. The tragic incident reportedly happened in Canelinha, Santa Catarina, Brazil, when Flavia Godinho Mafra was lured to a fake baby shower by an old school friend. Detective Paulo Alexandre Freyesleben Silva said Mafra, who was 36-weeks pregnant, died due to a sharp cut to the abdomen and wounds from a brick.
