As of right now, her comment is considered 'baseless' by many as people took to Twitter to slam Palin who seemed to be speaking with no proof of her claims

As the riots continue on Capitol Hill, with Congress in recess and many calling for the invoking of the 25th amendment, Fox news interviewed former Alaska governor and 2008 vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin who claimed that the pro-Trump supporters raising havoc right now were Antifa. As of right now, her comment is considered "baseless" by many as people took to Twitter to slam Palin who seemed to be speaking with no proof.

From rioting and looting to actually gunshots, Capital Hill is in civil unrest, but Palin claims that the people causing this are Antifa because of "pictures" that were sent to her that apparently feature "same characters" that were also allegedly at the MAGA Capitol mob siege and the Democratic-led protests.

Palin said during the interview, “But Martha, keep in mind, we don’t know who all were the instigators in this, these horrible things that happen today. I think a lot of it is the Antifa folks. I’ve been sent pictures of the same characters, who were captured on images today storming the Capitol, as had been in protests on the other side of politics earlier in the summer. So I don’t know, there is a lot of questions out there, and I wish that we could trust the media to do its job to do the research and report all these people are.”

As expected, Palin did not release the images that she made her believe that the pro-Trump supporters were Antifa. She had also earlier called them 'fake patriots'. Palin also called out the media saying, “Anyone who would storm the Capitol and create this, at least the perception of condoned violence, is not a true patriot. How dangerous it is, in our time, society, to not be able to trust the media. I’ve been saying this for them years and years, when we cannot trust, on either side, the information being fed to us, then, yeah, things like this will be a result because there is so much frustration out there that some misguided — very, very wrongheaded yahoos are out there causing this mayhem, and we don’t — and a lot of it is the media’s fault.” You can watch the Fox News interview here.

The former governor ended up trending on Twitter after being slammed by so many. "Sarah Palin on Fox News simultaneously crediting the tea party for ushering in the Trump presidency and distancing herself from today’s violence by calling the instigators ‘fake patriots.’ Its all the same movement of hate and misinformation. You can’t have it both ways," wrote one user.

Another user added, "Fox News is now interviewing Sarah Palin who is claiming that this is Antifa. I’m reminded that Sarah Palin is a goddamned f*cking idiot." Another added, "You brought Sarah #palin on to discuss trust and the media? and she described the terrorism as fake patriots most specifically Antifa and because of liberal media and Trump not having enough loyalists." "Sarah Palin Accuses Antifa of False Flag Op in Capitol Attack ⁦@FoxNews⁩ needs to be sued a x removed from the airwaves for propaganda and inciting more violence and conspiracies!," wrote another user.
