Saint Von Colucci: Actor, 22, dies due to complications from 12 surgeries to look like BTS' Jimin

Saint Von Colucci moved to Korea in 2019 in pursuit of a career in entertainment

SOUTH KOREA: Canadian actor Saint Von Colucci died after undergoing 12 surgeries to look like BTS singer Jimin. Von Colucci relocated from Canada to Korea in 2019 in pursuit of a career in entertainment.

Von Colucci's publicist, Eric Blake, stated that the 22-year-old died early on Sunday, April 24 in a hospital in South Korea as a result of complications from his most recent treatment, Daily Mail reports. Von Colucci underwent plastic surgery to remove jaw implants on Saturday, April 23. He required intubation after the operation, which he undoubtedly understood to be dangerous. He also contracted an infection, and a few hours later he died.

'He was very insecure about his looks'

Blake remarked that his client "didn't like" his "very square jawline and chin" as he "thought it was too wide," adding that the situation was "very tragic and very unfortunate." Von Colucci spent $220,000 on 12 surgeries in the last 12 months, including a lip reduction, a facelift, a nose job, an eye lift, and other procedures. 

Blake said, "He was very insecure about his looks," mentioning that Van Colucci was particularly "unhappy" with his face. The original characteristics of Von Colucci were dark blond hair and blue eyes. He weighed 182 pounds and was 6 feet tall. "It was very hard for him to get a job in South Korea and he felt very discriminated against [because of] his Western looks," Blake said.

'He looks better pre op'

Many people have reacted to Von Colucci's plastic surgery on Twitter with one person writing, "Ohhh should we say RIP or what? Looks like a payment on delivery." Another person wrote, "Do what you want but also be happy with who you are."  A third person wrote, "He was born white and died Asian. Micheal Jackson would be jealous." This other person wrote, "The problems with Obsession and then having the money to Obsess." One person wrote, "He looks better pre op. Btw the eyes, maybe doctor was a racist? RIP."

Has Saint Von Colucci ever appeared in a K-drama?

Blake claimed that Von Colucci acted as Jimin, the 27-year-old lead singer of Grammy-nominated K-pop group BTS, in the eight-episode Korean drama series 'Pretty Lies' (natively titled 'Cogimar'). The K-drama, which was in production from June to December 2022, will debut in October on an American streaming service. "He was very, very excited and worked really hard," Blake stated.
