Without former President Donald Trump in office, it apparently seems like Russian state media cannot properly cover American politics. In fact, some of their hosts are so angry about sanctions levied by President Joe Biden's administration that they express their disappointment directly on live telecasts.

According to latest reports, experts agree that Russia is now locked in a new Cold War with the US under President Joe Biden's administration.

During his nightly program 'The Evening With Vladimir Soloviev' this Tuesday, March 2, the host said, "Why would America think that we're interested in changing or improving our relations with them? What makes them think we're interested in a reset?"

He predicted a "harsh and asymmetrical response" to Biden's new sanctions against seven Russian officials for the attempted assassination of opposition leader Alexei Navalny. When Trump was president, he had reportedly ignored the incident.

The Russian state TV program '60 Minutes' played the clip of Trump's speech from CPAC where he greets the crowd with a "Do you miss me yet?" to which co-host Olga Skabeeva responded, "Yes, we do!"

On the shows, guests and hosts together discussed previous cyber measures against the US and predicted worse in retaliation for Biden's sanctions. "We've been laughing at Americans about how easily all of their systems have been hacked, perhaps by our hackers," Alexei Naumov from the Russian International Affairs Council, told '60 Minutes'. "But Americans have very strong cyber forces, offensive cyber forces. They can represent a threat for us."

Co-host Skabeeva also gloated about the fact that Russia had successfully interfered in US elections. "At the same time, we elected their president and they weren't able to elect ours, so it's an open question whose cyber forces are stronger," she reportedly said.

Andrey Sidorov, deputy dean of world politics at Moscow's State University, said, "Trump will forever remain in the minds of US allies as an example of how they could be dealt with by the next administration. They will always remember that."

'Mueller was correct'

Since Biden's inauguration, the Russian state media has been reported to be hostile towards the new president. From allegedly calling him names on day one of the job and passing remarks on Jill Biden to pro-Trump coverage, the media has been busy slamming Joe Biden.

On Twitter, people are shocked by the many facets of this development. From mocking Trump and the state media to their admission that they interfered in the elections, social media users expressed surprise at the favoritism.

One user tweeted how Russian media's tactics were all "obvious to all since 2016 except maga," to which another user responded, "Might even be obvious to many. They just. don't. care. About his odd allegiance to Putin, about his lies, about his corruption, his cheating, the divisiveness, NONE of it."

Why Russian media is so hostile towards Biden is because "we have a new president that will enforce sanctions that will surely come their way for screwing with our cyber, elections and for their penchant for poisoning dissidents. We need to connect dots of who is still working with RU in Congress," a user explained.

Pointing to the Mueller report, the investigation into the Russian interference in the 2016 presidential elections, a user said, "It tells me that Mueller was correct." Another responded, "He was definitely correct, I just wish he had dealt the final blow. He still left us hanging."

Another user tweeted, "That’s right! If AMERICANS want to give up their FREEDOMS & RIGHTS~ Putin is licking his chops over getting THE FORMER GUY back in our White House to finish off the DESTRUCTION OF DEMOCRACY & AMERICA’s POWER in the World! *DJT is a RUSSIAN ASSET* for PUTIN to END DEMOCRACY!"

Another user recalled Trump and Putin together at Helsinki and said, "I will never forget Trump's demeanour when he stood beside Putin at Helsinki ( was it?). It was clear by his body language that Putin owned him."
