A Russian translator, who was the only American to hear several secret conversations between President Donald Trump and President Vladimir Putin, has revealed a new, interesting fact about their relationship.

Marina Gross, a translator and long-time employee at the US State Department, was the only American to listen in on the world leaders' conversations. And while she would not reveal what the two world leaders said behind doors, she has revealed that the two shared was quite friendly.

Gross was "the interpreter who was the only other American in the room for Trump and Putin's 1-on-1 meeting in Helsinki," Business Insider reported in 2019.

According to a recent report in Politico, Gross told her associates that listening in on the two political leaders was like "eavesdropping on two friends chatting in a bar". Whether this was in regards to the tone, nature of their conversation or their rapport, was not made clear.

During the Trump presidency, the two repeatedly spoke over the phone a lot. The former president had gone to great lengths to ensure that their in-person conversation remains hidden, but a recent report by Politico reveals that President Joe Biden will be able to access the calls. According to this report, the Biden administration will be able to access the secret records that Trump and his national security team reportedly hid in top-secret classified servers. These records also include notes of his calls and meetings with Putin.

Russia is considered by most national security experts as America's enemy, but throughout Donald Trump's presidency, he never treated it one. Instead, acted hummy with every opportunity he could find. Their highly-criticized meeting in Helsinki was proof of just how their rapport is.

Twitter is furious with this revelation, to say the least, with some saying that Trump repeatedly put America in the hands of the Russian leader. "We’ll never know what trump and Putin actually talked about in Helsinki. He ordered his translator to destroy all notes. Not surprising trump played into Putin's hands at every turn. Doing everything he could to destroy the United States, much to Putin's delight," a user tweeted. "....This despite Putin attacking America, putting bounties on our military, devastating cyberattacks on our agencies," another user added.

Critique aside, some users on social media could care less to mince their words. "2 drunk morons drunk on power!Big Joe doesn't like Putin!Big Joe a lot smarter than moron trump & Putin! Trump still has Putin's dick in mouth! ...." a user said. "Hardly how the leader of the free world would be expected to deal with the head of the regime some have called a state sponsor of terrorism," another user added more sternly. "Reminder: Trump is a Kremlin puppet," said a user.

Users added that their so-called friendship is going to sustain all the perils of the world. "You can bet Putin has already arranged for a permanent table in the lounge at the soon to be constructed Trump Tower Moscow...."
