'RUN2U': STAYC stays fashion-forward as fans discover Yoon's shoulder pads are shoes
It looks like STAYC is not going to stay rookies for long. Their previous comeback ‘Stereotype’ and the viral hit ‘ASAP’ shot them to new heights of fame as they seem to be topping charts every comeback. They have also entered international charts like Billboard and iTunes and have been acknowledged by the likes of TIME, Grammy, and Forbes. Along with their music, they also often turn heads for their quirky and eccentric fashion, with pattern-clashing outfits and princess bangs aka ‘curtain hairstyle’. And their upcoming comeback ‘RUN2U’ is no different.
STAYC has always been commended for their unique concepts and their upcoming second mini-album ‘YOUNG-LUV.COM’ is no different. While they are going for a glamorous concept reminiscent of their debut era with ‘So Bad’, it is still campy and kitschy as they are seen posing with gun-shaped balloons and props. STAYC has continued with their bizarre fashion pieces like fur and cowboy boots paired with cocktail outfits. However, fans were amused when they found out that Yoon was sporting shoes as shoulder pads in the music video teaser.

Yoon wears shoes as shoulder pads
With just hours to go before the album release, Knetizens made STAYC’s music video teaser for the title track ‘RUN2U’ go viral. One Korean fan noticed that in the scene where Yoon is strutting towards the camera, she is sporting shoulder pads made out of reconstructed Adidas shoes. Yoon is one of the STAYC members who has often been open to experimental styles and was the one who had gone viral in their last comeback for cheek-length princess bangs with neon edges.
‘Better than I thought’
Well, Knetizens were quite impressed with how Yoon pulled off the unconventional shoulder pads as one user posted, “But is it better than I thought?” Another added, “It's a bit cosplay-like, but it's unique, so I like it.” One fan commented, “You have to look at the overall concept to know. It was well made.” A user commented, “It's like combat armor, isn't it? And Yooni is so pretty.”
Another fan tweeted, “It's so possible. STAYCs style is always trendsetting. they always try sumthing new or quirky or weird. STAYC trendsetters.” Since J had requested the agency to give them ‘normal hairstyles’, one fan joked, “They said we cannot touch their hair anymore so lets touch their clothes.” A user shared, “She's wearing shoes as outfit??? that is so freaking cool.” Another fan said, “If it means no crazy hairstyles, i’m all for it.”

"RUN" and what do you use for running? FEET. and what does your feet wear when ure running? SHOES. ADIDAS.
