'Roswell, New Mexico' Season 2 Episode: [Spoiler] isn't a bad guy and fans speculate about #Malex connection
Spoilers for 'Roswell, New Mexico' Season 2 Episode 9 'The Diner'
Episode 9 'The Diner' takes the cake when it comes to revealing the life of the past. We find out that not all Manes were horrendous and why Michael Guerin (Michael Vlamis) and Alex Manes (Tyler Blackburn) might have a connection. Isobel Evans (Lily Cowles) finds out that her mother, Louise (Cassandra Jean Amell), had survived the massacre all those years ago.
Sanders (Nicholas Ballas) was revealed to be young Walt (Major Dodge Jr) in the previous episode. He knew Michael's mother, Nora, as well as Isobel and Max Evans's mother, Louise. He thought they were murdered as he made his way through an escape hatch, but they were very much alive. Fans were hell-bent on speculating what the rest of the series would hold.
"Tripp is actually the good guy in this situation? We stan Tripp. Alex and Tripp are the only Manes men we care about. Don’t talk to me. #RoswellNM this is some great storytelling. I’ll give them props. I just wish they’d stop treating Maria like trash," tweeted a fan.
"I was not ready for decent Tripp Manes. That threw me for a loop. I knew Jesse was still a horrible human being, but Tripp? Is it too soon to say love can change a man or...? #IsTheCheesy? #RoswellNM," tweeted another fan.
Turns out, Uncle Tripp Manes (Jason Behr) was trying to save the lives of Nora and Louise. Alex finds out that a diner with a special booth, where his great uncle, Tripp, used to hang out. He finds a letter, saying "Thank you Tripp" and held a picture of Louise, older and wheelchair-ridden. While Jesse Manes (Alex's father) reveals that Grandfather Harlan Manes (Zach Rose) had told him that an alien had got into Tripp's head and seduced him. We were also shown that Harlan had initiated and carried out the attacks that night. "Tripp Manes possibly helping Nora and Louise was something I did not see coming #RoswellNM," tweeted a fan.
"EVERYTHING I KNEW WAS A LIE. Tripp wasn’t a complete monster? Alex actually has a decent family member? So many questions. #RoswellNM," tweeted another fan.
Now we all know that Michael and Alex have the best of connections, but did Nora and Tripp have a connection too? "Omg i just realized they gonna have the story of Tripp and Nora sort of correlate with Michael and Alex. I hope they get a better ending tho #RoswellNM," tweeted fan.
"#RoswellNM Nora&Tripp Alex&Michael cosmic love," tweeted another fan. While most are speculating that Tripp was in love with Nora, why does Michael think his mother ended up in Caulfield?
