'Roswell, New Mexico' Season 2 Episode 11: 'Michael will burn the world for Alex', fans say after Malex scene
Spoilers for 'Roswell, New Mexico' Season 2 Episode 11 'Linger'
This episode showed us the lengths to which Michael Guerin (Michael Vlamis) will go to help the man he once fell in love with, Alex Manes (Tyler Blackburn). Another fast paced episode, but this one brought some good narratives with it, so we can't complain. As fans were shocked to learn that Helena Ortecho (Bertila Damas) now works with Flint Manes (Kiowa Gordon), who works for a paramilitary group called Deep Sky, they were also happy to revel in the moments where Michael had so emotionally expressed his adoration for Alex. "Michael Guerin sayin that lovin Alex basically changed his life is a reset for My life. #RoswellNM #Malex," tweeted a fan. "Michael really said Alex’s existence elevated humanity as a whole for him huh thats power babes #roswellnm #malex," tweeted another fan.
On his search to find Alex, Michael stops to see Jesse Manes, Alex's father. Turns out Jesse kidnapped Alex and put him in his basement after which Alex's brother Flint Manes took Alex to a place he won't reveal. Michael's rage as he beat up Jesse was an intense scene as he tells him that even after Alex suffered his abuse, "he still loves, he even loves you, you don't deserve to call him your son." That leads Michael to follow Flint and he tries beating him to a pulp until he finds out that Alex is alive. There's just one thing he has to do for Flint or Alex dies. As we later find out Helena wants Michael to build a bomb and the gang finds out that she's working with Flint Manes, who is dedicated to killing all aliens. "#roswellnm Flint and Helena working together she wants Michael to build a bomb. Michael going build for Alex release holy s**t," tweeted a fan while another added, "Michael will burn down the world for Alex. #RoswellNM."
While this episode was a rollercoaster as usual, fans were ecstatic to see Michael show his love for Alex. Michael doesn't open up emotionally as we'd like him to, but this was a rare instance. "That michael speech about alex really hits different when you think it’s one of the first times michael’s ever actually vocalised his appreciation for alex and said so many nice things about him #roswellnm," tweeted a fan while another added, "My favourite thing about this episode was Michael finally saying nice things about Alex #RoswellNM." Some people called it, "DID WE NOT CALL MICHAEL HAVING TO DO SOMETHING FOR DEEP SKY FOR ALEX OR WHAT #RoswellNM," tweeted another fan while another replied, "Michael really will do anything for Alex huh... #RoswellNM." This episode got a bit of our hopes up with #Malex, as expressed by a fan who tweeted, "IF MICHAEL GUERIN DOESN'T TELL ALEX HE LOVES HIM THIS SEASON I'M GONNA RIOT! ! ! Even if they don't end up together, they need to drop that d and make it present tense because y'all they ain't over for s**t. #RoswellNM."
"The way they didn't kidnap Maria but Alex to get Michael to corporate #RoswellNM," one more fan tweeted referring to how Maria DeLuca (Heather Hemmens), Michaels current girlfriend, was not on the kidnap list. Flint ended up kidnapping Alex because he knew that would get Michael to cooperate. Others were hopeful for more, "Of course finally quality michael scenes and he gets 4 minutes of screen time @CWRoswellNM #malex #RoswellNewMexico #roswellnm."
