LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: English singer and songwriter Robbie Williams has claimed there's "no sex after marriage", suggesting he’s as happy eating a tangerine as he is having sex with his wife Ayda Field. The former member of the pop group Take That tied the knot to Ayda, 43, back in 2010, and the pair have four kids together. However, he has revealed that the intimacy between the two has certainly slowed down a bit, especially in the bedroom in more recent years.

The 49-year-old told The Sun that he had been on testosterone tablets at one point to treat depression, which led to him and his other-half having an "incredible" sex life. But he explained that he ditched them due to his previous addiction problems.

Williams said that his sexual desire has calmed down over the years as he’s grown older. However, the singer insists that it’s not a problem for him and Ayda, and that they’re on the same page about the matter. “No sex in a marriage is only a problem if you’re on different pages; if one person wants it, and the other doesn’t; if you have different expectations or requirements", he told the outlet.

Williams recalled his life when he was on testosterone

"But really, everyone knows there is no sex after marriage. That’s just the way it is. I was on testosterone for a while but, because I’m an addict, that had to stop. I got these massive square shoulders and started to look like a doorman. It wasn’t a good look," he recalled the period of his life when he was on testosterone. “But the sex we had when I was on testosterone was incredible; it was all the time. We were insatiable. It goes to show how into each other we really are, though, because when I was on it, we couldn’t take our hands off each other. I miss that. That was a fun period. Sometimes now, though, Ayda will turn to me on the sofa and say, ‘We should do sex,’ and I’m sitting there eating a tangerine and just sort of shrug. So, ya know, sometimes we try.”

His wife agreed, stressing that to her "intimacy is the important, meaningful side of love". She went on to say that the duo might not been having any sexual intimacy every night, they are still "always cuddling and kissing" and that they will hold hands and cuddle up while watching TV. “Me and Rob are on the same page. We are happy", she said about their relationship.
