Barron Trump's absence from RNC 2020 could be his saving grace as Donald Jr, Eric and Tiffany savaged by Internet

All of Donald Trump's children — Donald Jr, Eric and Tiffany — were slammed and criticized after they spoke in favor of their father at RNC 2020

The Republican National Convention's second day starred several members of US President Donald Trump's family. Alongside speakers Senator Rand Paul, R-Ky, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, Nicholas Sandmann, Daniel Cameron and Pam Bondi, family members Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump and First Lady Melania Trump took the stage to highlight the work Trump had done all these years. Meanwhile, on Day 1, Donald Trump Jr and his girlfriend Kimberly Guilfoyle grabbed several eyeballs for their speeches. Ivanka Trump is also listed under the speakers' list and is set to speak on August 27.

Amid all the family members, Barron Trump's absence was felt. One big question on all minds was: Donald Trump's youngest son staying away from the convention was a boon or bane? All of his children — Donald Jr, Eric and Tiffany — were slammed and criticized after they spoke in favor of their father. In light of all the criticism, it's best Barron stayed away from the limelight, isn't it? 

Here's a look at Donald Jr, Eric and Tiffany's speeches at RNC 2020

Donald Trump Jr

The 42-year-old businessman and former reality television personality lauded his father's leadership, saying, "Trump's policies have been like rocket fuel to the economy." Moreover, he attacked Joe Biden's radical left-wing policies saying, "Biden has promised to take that money back out of your pocket and keep it in the Swamp," and added "That makes sense, considering Joe Biden is basically the Loch Ness Monster of the Swamp. For the past half-century, he's been lurking around in there." Soon, his "gooey-eyes" became the talk of the town and he was slammed for his speech.

Eric Trump

Executive vice president of Trump Organization, Eric said: "My father ran not because he needed the job but because he knew hardworking people across this great country were being left behind," adding, "Every day, my father fights for the American people. The forgotten men and women of this country. The ones who embody the American spirit, which is unlike anything else in the world." Targetting Joe Biden, he added, "Joe Biden is a politician who has been in government for 47 years. He is a career politician who has never signed the front of a check and does not know the slightest thing about the American worker or the American business — the engine which fuels the greatest economy the world has ever known."

Tiffany Trump

The lowest-profile member of the Trump family spoke at the RNC 2020 and defended Trump's TikTok ban saying, "People must recognize that our thoughts, opinions and even the choice of who we vote for are being manipulated and invisibly coerced by the media and tech giants," adding, "Ask yourselves why are we prevented from seeing certain information? Why is one viewpoint promoted while others are hidden? The answer is control — and because division and controversy breeds profit."

Roasting all of Trump's children, one tweet read: "Every Trump family member — Don Jr., Tiffany Trump, Eric Trump — has given a dishonest, over-the-top political speech. Not one Trump family member has spoken about Donald Trump the family man, the loving father or the faithful husband. I wonder why?" Another said, "Eric Trump, much like Donald Jr. & Tiffany, made the case that Pres Trump will be fighting for everyday American's rights & fighting for the 'forgotten' people of this country. He like his siblings made a political pitch for his father & didn't include many personal details."

Nevertheless, several viewers who tuned in to watch the RNC 2020 held at Charlotte, North Carolina, wondered why Barron wasn't included as part of the speech line-up. In a tweet, all the speakers from the convention — themed around ‘Land of Opportunity’ — were highlighted. The Twitter user said, "I’m surprised Barron isn’t speaking instead of Pence."

Many social media users thought that it was best to keep him away. One Twitter user posted, "Interesting to me (as father of 4) how none of the kids seek to humanize him. There's no anecdote about coming to little league, teaching me to drive, a funny fishing story, etc etc. Each of their speeches could've been given by a stranger."

"Just watch him with his kids. They are props. Extensions of himself. Trump behaved just like his father — authoritative, cruel, distant — to get his approval. Now he’s doing the same thing to his kids. Poor Barron especially," one tweet read. Another said, "How many people in the Trump family were speaking tonight? I’m surprised they didn’t get Barron to speak lol."

Wondering why Barron didn't speak, one Twitter user wrote: "So does this mean that she got Trump to include Barron into the family business? I think she was holding out on doing the speech for some guarantee from him. Wonder why she would need that?"

Defending how a public personality's kids don't deserve criticism, one Twitter user posted: "I think what we all should remember is that these are kids! If you want to say something kind, fine! But we are adults! Kids are off limits with terrible comments!" Another added, "I believe kids shouldn’t be apart of anything political. Or anything else of any matter like that. That’s why when I see people go after Barron Trump or Obama’s daughters when they were minors. However, the prick who is a MAGA fool is 18. & thank you for your service!" 

Some wondered if he felt "left out". "Does Barron feel left out as the only Trump not speaking at the RNC?" one tweet read. Meanwhile, one thought it would be "cool" if he spoke as well. "Would be cool if Barron Trump made a speech at the RNC. The kid hasn't said a peep in 4yrs," the Twitter comment said.

At just 14, Barron often makes headlines for being much taller than his dad. A quick Google search reveals he is taller than both his father and mother, which makes him at least over 6’2”. As Trump's youngest son is still in school, it's best for him to stay away from politics and the convention, don't you think?
