Sharing their opinion a fan said, "God HIT MAN is so good! Linklater’s most entertaining movie in a minute, Powell is an awesome lead, funny script, trademark commentary on life and fate. Just delivers the goods, love love loved it."

Another fan sharing the same opinion said, "Initial Hit Man thoughts: The Linklater movie for Bernie fans with a healthy dose of Irrational Man and Fincher’s The Killer for good measure. The most romantic of comedies I’ve seen in years. My face hurt from smiling the whole time. One of Richard’s very best."

One user referred to the film as Linklater's boldest work and commented, "Hit Man is a dark comedy about the many performances that one is forced to conduct in their professional and personal lives. Richard Linklater's boldest movie in years has fun deconstructing the undercover cop genre with philosophical inquiries. Go in blind."

Fans are also gushing about the film, with many considering it one of the finest of the year due to its humor and engaging storyline.

A fan praised the film as the best of the year and commented, "Anyway so hit man is one of the best movies i’ve seen this year so far. witty, hilarious, enormous range from glenn powell, compelling romance, original premise. go watch it."

Another admirer complimented the movie and Glen Powell by commenting, "Just saw Hit Man at Alamo Drafthouse. My first time at one. Glad I picked Hit Man for my first time. It was such a great movie. And Glen Powell was fantastic in it."

Another enthusiast described the film as a perfect summer flick and said, "HIT MAN a perfect summer movie, just so breezy and fun and hot. Powell's on a pure charm offensive throughout, he's got *it*. Arjona meets him beat for beat, and the film wouldn't be nearly as successful if not for their chemistry. Linklater's best since Before Midnight."

"Thought Hit Man was so much FUN! proper laughs, real twists, genuinely sexy and I loooooove when the hot girl in the movie is called Maddie. Would be such a bummer to miss the chance to see this in a cinema. Go this weekend with a big slushie and a bag of wine gums," stated a fan, urging others to watch the movie.

A moviegoer who was watching the film for the second time said, "Second viewing of HIT MAN. Even better than I realized. Amazing crowd movie. A great reminder of why theaters rule."

While another rated the film as 'cinematically impressive and remarked, "Hit Man isn’t really the most cinematically impressive movie. But sometimes a lot of properly exposed shots where you can just see your stats have fun is enough. I’m glad I got to see it in theaters. I don’t know if you’ll be losing too much beyond the atmosphere on streaming."
