However, Sara insisted that she was trying to help her when Chanel left more furious and claimed that she put a "knife in my back." Meanwhile, in a previous podcast episode of 'Two Ts In A Pod', Chanel reflected on the victim claim and said, "Yes, I am a victim, but I have my power now because I talked about it." Chanel further claimed she was "bullied a lot" for being open about her own experience adding, "I understand that because I come from a culture that is very closed." The Bravo star added, "We marry each other, we’re 100% Muslim, nobody talks about FGM like it’s something bad." Chanel added to the outlet, "I was talking about things that I’m not supposed to talk about. So I got a lot of backlash from that."
Chanel Ayan claims no one reached her after female circumcision revelation
Chanel Ayan revealed during the podcast episode that none of her friends from 'RHODubai' reached out to her after she exposed her traumatic experience of female circumcision. She told podcast host Tamra Judge that "not even my closest friends" knew about her past, which made opening up in front of the cameras incredibly difficult.
Chanel further noted, "When my story aired, Tamra, nobody reached out to me, and I mean nobody reached out to me." Bravo star added, "I was on my own in my house crying, closing the curtains, now knowing that the whole entire world knows this about me."
Chanel further revealed, "And then I got the worst backlash, man. 'We don't accept you. We don't want you. Who do you think you are?' Like, I was being crazy. I was on my own. I was, like, so stressed. I was having bad thoughts. I was so angry with myself."
'RHODubai' season 2 star Chanel Ayan opens up about her real age
'RHODubai' season 2 star Chanel Ayan has recently reflected on her real age. In the previous season of the Bravo show, Chanel and Caroline Stanbury had an explosive feud about their age which also sabotaged their friendship. Caroline claimed that Chanel was 50 at that time which fumed the reality star.
However, in the premiere episode, Chanel and Caroline have mended their friendship and went for lunch. Chanel shared that her mother had a dental checkup where it was revealed that her mom was 80 years old. Chanel admitted to Caroline that it was possible she was older than her.
