'A ticking time bomb': Resurfaced footage shows grinning 'cult mom' Lori Vallow give preview of carnage
IDAHO COUNTY, IDAHO: In the midst of her sensational murder trial, a disturbing video of the alleged 'cult mom' killer Lori Vallow stating that she is a 'ticking time bomb' has resurfaced. Vallow, who was then in her late 20s, appeared on Wheel of Fortune when the video was shot.
Vallow allegedly killed her two children Tylee and JJ in 2019 as she thought the second coming of Christ was close at hand and that they were "zombies." Vallow made a number of TV appearances in spite of her gloomy statement two decades prior.

Lori Vallow: Prosecutors show graphic images of children's dead bodies on first day of murder trial
'I'm basically a ticking time bomb'
In one Wheel of Fortune, she appeared the same year and talked upbeat about her life. Vallow presented her "wonderful husband" Joseph who was at home caring for their two children, Colby, who was seven, and Tylee, who was one. She also made reference to their three-acre property where they loved to play a variety of sports.
Being a "good mom is very important to me," said Vallow during the Mrs Texas Beauty Pageant, "And a good wife, and a good worker." She did, however, admit that "being all those things together is not easy...I'm basically a ticking time bomb," as seen in the video on ABC News.
In September 2019, Vallow, 49, was charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of her children, Tylee Ryan and Joshua Jaxon "JJ" Vallow. Tylee was nearly 17 when she and JJ, 7, were last seen alive in September 2019. The children's bodies were found in June 2020 buried on the property in Rexburg, Idaho, owned by Chad Daybell. Even before the remains were found, Vallow Daybell was charged with felony desertion of a child, as well as an obstruction as per NPR.
Vallow believed her children were zombies possessed by evil spirits
Besides believing her children were "zombies", Vallow described they were possessed by evil spirits and not among the "chosen" 144,000 souls who would survive the looming apocalypse. She and her husband, Chad Daybell, who she married on a Hawaiian beach in late 2019 is also facing trial for the murder of his ex-wife Tammy who allegedly buried the bodies of her children in shallow graves on his Idaho property. Prosecutors claim she and Chad, who was the children’s step-father, killed and buried JJ and Tylee to be free of the burdens of parenting.
On the second day of the trial, Detective Ray Hermosillo went into great detail about how the smell of decaying flesh made it necessary for detectives to dig at Daybell's property. Also presented to the jury were graphic photos of the crime scene. In light of the accusations made against Vallow, her earlier remarks take on a deadly new significance for her blockbuster trial.
