Joe Biden slammed for calling Nancy Pelosi 'Nance', Internet says he needed her 'approval' to answer questions
As concern mounts over President Joe Biden not holding a full-length press conference more than 40 days into his inauguration, social media has raised other concerns after Biden told reporters he was "happy to take questions" before having his microphone and camera feed cut off. The incident occurred at the end of Biden's appearance at a House Democratic Caucus event where he was joined virtually by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-California).
Biden said after delivering his prepared remarks, "So I want to thank you all. I really mean it… I want to thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you. And I’m happy to take questions if that’s what you — I’m supposed to do, Nance. Whatever you want me to do."

Of course, right-wing social media exploded on the feeds being cut after Biden's statements, with Republicans getting suspicious over it. One user tweeted, "The White House was not happy that Biden tried to take questions...."

The Washington Post clarified that Biden did answer some questions from House members, just that it was "never intended for the question-and-answer session to be public, in what is known in the trade as 'open press.' The Q&A session was intended to be 'closed press.'" A White House official told the publication, "The remarks were the only part of the meeting that were planned as open press. The president takes questions almost every day from the press pool. As he did yesterday morning."
However, it seemed that Republicans were taking offense that Biden called Pelosi "Nance", as reported by Refinery29, with David Weissman tweeting, "Let me get this straight; Republicans are upset about President Joe Biden calling Speaker Nancy Pelosi “Nance,” but okay with Majorie Taylor Greene calling for the Speaker’s execution?"

Weissman is not the only one to suggest Republicans are upset over Biden calling Pelosi "Nance". Another wrote, "So Trump can call Pelosi "Crazy Nancy" and that's just fine, but Biden calls her "Nance" and the Republicans lose their minds?" A user tweeted, "If you're outraged that President Biden called Speaker Pelosi "Nance," you're doing it wrong, or you're a Republican, in which case." One said, "Why weren't they defending her when Trump called her "Crazy Nancy" ? It's time to stop giving their faux poutrage air."

It's time to stop giving their faux poutrage air.
However, a user pointed out that the source of outrage is different, writing, "That’s not the source of the outrage, it’s the fact that he had to get approval from “Nance” to answer questions, which we all saw was immediately denied. Most people would think that strange." That seems to be the case for one tweet, which says, "It has been proven time and time again that Biden has no power and is merely a figurehead. And he's too dumb or senile to play the part; always blurting things like "what am I signing?" or "am I supposed to do that, Nance?" We have a right to know who is pulling the strings."

A user tweeted, "Biden actually said he would do "whatever you want me to do Nance"! And THAT'S the POTUS??? WTF." A user tweeted, "After watching the complete version, he tells “Nance” to control the questions. That’s @SpeakerPelosi. She cuts the feed. Biden’s Geppetto." One user tweeted, "Biden calls Americans Neanderthal but he is the one with a screen door on his submarine. It is scary that he has to ask "Nance" what he should do; but then, "Nance Botox" thinks she is President."
