MIAMI, FLORIDA: Regitze Gamble, a 75-year-old motorist, drove into a busy Miami Beach sidewalk café, killing one person and injuring eight others. According to traffic records, her driving past includes the revocation of her driver's license, a DUI, and a wrong way trip on a turnpike exit. According to Daily Mail, Gamble was also previously charged for multiple roadside accidents. She has even paid $2,384 in penalties and $3,106.25 in total fees, following two traffic offenses that occurred within nine days of each other.

Gamble was fined in South Miami on July 2, 2014, for speeding 40 mph in a 30 mph zone. She pleads guilty and paid a $219 fine 15 days later. On June 12, 2015, Gamble drove along Hollywood Boulevard at 2:51 am and discovered a blocked exit on the Florida Turnpike. As a result, she took the turnpike exit to the south. She received a ticket for driving on the wrong side of a split highway, pled guilty, and was fined $165. She was also involved in a car accident in Miami on June 21, 2015, and was charged with reckless driving, DUI, and DUI personal injury or property damage.

This time though, according to the police, she will most likely not face criminal charges as there were no signs of impairment. Meanwhile, authorities recently revealed additional facts about the late-night accident in front of Call Me Gaby, 22 Washington Ave. on Thursday, Feb. 24, 2022, which police believe was caused by a failed parallel parking attempt. The identities of people that were involved were also made public. According to the police, Gamble suddenly accelerated in reverse, slammed a parked Toyota Rav4, and then hit a table with five diners and surrounding pedestrians. Gamble's beige 1990 Bentley Turbo R then hit a tree and came to a halt. Following the collision, restaurant employees and customers sprung into action, moving the car to assist those trapped beneath it.
